Intro If you follow the Zelda series chronologically, this game is actually the second to last in the series. The story of this game happens after Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Oracles, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening and Wind Waker. The Link in this game is a descendant of the Link from "Wind Waker."

The Story

After countless years of peace in Hyrule since Link thwarted Ganon's efforts to take over Hyrule in A Link to the Past, somehow Ganon returns. How he escaped his imprisonment in the Golden Land has not been told but, the fact remains that he did get out and with his minions ravaged and destroyed the land of Hyrule. Seeking the Triforce of Wisdom, Ganon abducted Princess Zelda. Luckily just before this happened, Zelda split the Triforce into eight segments and had them scattered across Hyrule in eight dungeons. The princesses nursemaid, Impa, escaped before Ganon arrived. While passing through the forest she was stopped by a group of Moblins when out of the woods came a travelling youth, Link, who thwarted off the Moblins, saving Impa. Impa thanked Link and told him the story of Princess Zelda's fate and of the Triforce. With that, Link began his adventure...
