Re: Happy Birthday, Frong!
Birthday'd! Sorry we couldn't arrange to go out to eat yesterday night. I guess we'll do it over spring break. At least you can always go to Bahn Thai tonight or something like that.

Re: New laptop get!
Congrats on the new laptop, but beware, for I have proof now that "Vista doesn't play well with others," as the saying goes. My dad's gonna bring me the new printer I had to buy this weekend, since the old one, while still fully functional, refuses to work with Vista, no matter what driver...

Yay for teh youtubes. Colby looks like he'll be a proper camera hog, at least during lap time.
But...needs more feather. *foof* THAT's real crazy time. Good luck managing the feather and the camera at the same time...

Re: KITTAH!!!
Great, mom told me about the barf, but not about the shite. :ill: Hope you bought some really effective cleaners there. Otherwise, they sound cute. I like the name Birdie for a cat, it's funny. Now I don't have to get a cat myself -- all I have to do is learn to drive, and I can just come visit your...

When professors turn nonsensical....
Ok, I just wanted to get some other opinions on this. My History of English class has a presentation due tonight, which I hope I'm ready for. We were all alerted last class that these presentations were to be graded 100% by panels of other students in the class. Yes, the prof is not doing any gradin...

"Jules et Jim." It's a supposed French classic that lost me multiple brain cells. Only watch this if you LIKE painfully pointless love triangles.

Re: It's snowing...
It was actually pretty dang warm yesterday. We went on a field trip in one class, and I didn't even need a jacket, and all I was wearing was a t-shirt and jeans. I wish Ohio would make up its mind, but it's doing the usual instead.

If you can count this as "buying", I bought myself consideration for two grad schools. Silly application fees.

Re: Mia's Burning question for the week.
I dunno, English might be phail in the realm of making immediate sense with regards to spelling, but it definitely succeeds in being interesting. We just learned in class the other day about how even though the English borrowed about 10,000 words from medieval French, they started treating the words...

Re: Have you had any FROST in your area yet?
Weirdly enough, it's actually been more like summer than winter, at least around my college campus. I felt warm wearing long pants the other day. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

Re: Mia's Burning question for the week.
Linguistics! Yay. I'm sure the wiki article touches on this (I didn't click the link), but most of the reason is because of either Old English, which actually pronounced the silent letters such as the "e" at the end of "come", or Latin, which I think pronounced most of the silent...

Re: Taking a detour....
The trip was a little crazy. I've never hiked that much in my life before. My feet are still recovering. ^_^() But the scenery was pretty, and I do have some pictures. I'll try to get around to posting a few this weekend. Life's been a bit hectic lately. Oh, and I got a perfect score on the identifi...

Re: Is Sarah Palin fit to be Vice President of the United States
I didn't get to watch the VP debate because I was in the middle of nowhere for four days, but I'll throw in my two cents anyway. From the little I've seen of Palin, I'm not crazy about her, but it's not going to affect who gets my vote for president. Somehow I doubt with McCain as president that she...

...to the Smoky Mountains. I've been to Florida, and I've been to Virginia, but I've never been anywhere in between. This should be interesting. I'm leaving tomorrow with my botany class. I'ma learn me yet more plants! Whee. :bonk: You know you've been focusing on botany too much when you walk down ...

Re: My Mini Owl has arrived!! *Kitteh PICS*
This is definitely cute overload. I love her eyes and the copper streaks in her fur, they make her look a little like a red panda. She's so fluffy! Mini owl for the win.
