I shudder at the thought of what might happen if the kidnapper finds out about the chip and wants to get rid of the device, without being known in surgery. Very good point, Wave! I could see that as happening too. Yikes! Yeah, I had thought of this as well. ick. There are some people who beli...

Thanks for sharing that, that's a cool site.

It seems to take forever for a message to float by however. :p

I agree, I think a bracelet or something would be more appropriate, something that could be removed, but not something detectable to a kidnapper. But either way I couldn't do it...especially the chip, it's just wrong if you ask me...the idea is right, but there has to be another method, one that isn...

Joni Mitchell

Her album "Song to a Seagull" was well known in Canada, but not here until she became famous, but it's one of my favorites.

I'm not going to go through a list, but I wanted to say that back sometime in the 90's, I believe...VH1 did one of it's VERY first countdowns ever, and it was the 100 Most Influential Women in Rock.

It changed my life. Many of my now favorite artists, I first saw there and I'll never forget it.

I liked Pee Wee's Playhouse a lot as a kid, it was very imaginative and colorful...it seems like so many kids shows were about parental anarchy (or as much as they could get away with within reason) around that time, now it's all politically correct, sterile...and I dare say some of them seem to pur...

Well, for the others I mentioned, "Matchstick Men" is well cast, well directed, with a very surprising twist ending...the trailers for it however were misleading, made it seem more of a warm movie than it is. "Punch Drunk Love" is weird but adorable at the same time. "Ghost ...

That sounds a bit like me, I'm deaf in my right ear...my ear canal is largely closed, which leads to a lot of painful problems due to swimmer's ear (water getting trapped and infecting the canal), and often my ear is itchy. Also wearing headphones is definately an experience in stereo. :p I also hav...

Kill Bill is good but...
Kill Bill 2 is better, more of a convincing storyline...but if you like blood and guts, the first should be more down your alley.

Amelie Great movie! This reminds me of a couple that I also like from recent years: Punch Drunk Love Matchstick Men Ghost World Try some Miyazaki films, like "Spirited Away" or "Princess Mononoke", even if you don't normally like that kind of thing, his films are superior and wo...

I haven't seen any of those either.

But I mainly watch old movies, so I'm not sure if you'd be interested in those or not.

Well, as a kid, my family took yearly trips to the mountains...specifically to Maggie Valley NC, home to Ghost Town in the Sky, but unfortunately has been closed in the last couple of years. Ghost Town was on a mountain, you had to ride a ski lift or tram to get to it...the entire thing was made up ...

Doesn't this rather go hand in hand with the other cartoon thread?

Almost all of the cartoons I watched as a kid are no longer on the air.
