Question for all you RT'ers out there:

Post by DJ Phoenix »

Ok gang...I need your help on this one(as you helped me before with it). I am a DJ, and I've run into a slight problem recently. I've been confused with several people who have the same name "DJ Phoenix", as I do. I certainly don't want to confuse anyone, nor be confused of being someone else. I've been thinking of MAYBE changing my DJ Name to something no one else has, Good/Bad Idea...... or what? Again, I dont want to be confused with someone else, as I've seen about 12 people with the same DJ name as I have. I like the name(thanks again Ingrid), just not that 12+ people have it. So, I'm going to include some names here, LMK what you think of them OK? If you can think of some cool names, feel free to post them as well. Best name(s) might be what i change it to, IF I decide to. I haven't decided yet if Im going to change it, IF I do....I will let you all know and this will give me a feel for what's out there.

Possible new names:

DJ Maybe
DJ Stone(My Grandfather's middle name)
DJ Crease
DJ Thumb
DJ Light
DJ Virus
DJ Deathclock

Hows about DJ Morrissey? lol I remember how excited you were when you got to meet him.

or going along the lines of the phoenix legend, you could tweak the name to have something else to do with the Phoenix:

DJ Firebird
DJ Heliopolis
DJ Bennu

Or any number of these:
Angha, Huma, Simurgh, Persian phoenixes.
Adarna, Philippine version of the phoenix
Vena, in Indian version of the phoenix

I think your name should be at least two syllabals. But that's just a personal preference.

DJ Deathclock sounds somehow funny to me...but it's the only name off your list that's not already taken by a minimum of half a dozen another people AFAIK. ;)

The query on Google for DJ Fhnxx (that's "Phoenix" spelled in a more phonetic way, as you had certainly found out by yourself too) came up with no direct result, so my guess is that only a few people worldwide got the same idea like me.

There's already a "DJ Stonecold"(plus, I dont need those idiots from the WWE whining about me "stealing" the Stonecold name). Ingrid, you rock girl!! I like some of your suggestions alot better than mine gang, keep 'em coming. Maybe we can have another Poll like we did elsewhere regarding this?

The reason I picked "Deathclock" as a possible, was b/c I haven't seen anyone else w/it.

BTW, I liked some of the variations of the name, Phoenix.

Thanks for your kind words regarding "DJ Morrissey" sad to say, there's like 4 dj's out of L.A. with the same name, or some variation of it. I thought of that too at first, but then when I found it was taken, I was like "figures".

Again, if you guys can think of any, feel free to add them(thanks again for your hard work Ingrid)

Here's some more names:

Have you already checked to make sure there aren't already any DJs in your area with any of the names you suggested? I dunno if it's worth much for me to suggest names without knowing whether they're taken already or not. :\ Also, I tend to come up with weird names like DJ Squeegee or DJ Bootjack. I don't even think bootjack is a word. I just made it up. :looney: Oh, and I LIKE Deathclock. So there. Nyah. :p

Another alias which came to my mind: DJ Xineoph - yep, tha's "Phoenix" spelled backwards with the exception of the last two letters (for optical and spelling reasons). Looks and sounds a bit mysterious, huh?

DJ Rogue reminds me of WoW. And we have a Nine around here (although, I haven't seen him around lately, anyone know why?). DJ Cure sounds good. Nothing else particularly stands out. Well, maybe DJ Fight.
