I initially thought I'd wait a few days and see if any major bugs popped up before I got Firefox 3, but since that many people had already DL'd it without any problems, I went ahead and got it. Seems to work fine for me.

Yeah, Mozilla seems to actually make an effort to eliminate bugs before releasing a final version. Of course, FireFox is popular enough that there's a lot of beta support, and when RC1 through RC3 came out, support probably went even higher.

Probably. Seeing as Firefox is more of a populist browser of sorts than Intarweb Exploder, it has the support of people who actually care about whether the product functions properly upon launch. Microcrap has never cared about that sort of important thing in the past, much less now.

However, with Safari's security issues (Pay Pal has addressed SSL issues, Microsoft has addressed other issues) will likely stunt it's userbase.
Unfortunately, that article was satire! Internet exploder isn't going away.
