When do you start decorating for the Holidays?

Sometimes I start before Thanksgiving if I know I am gonna to be pressed for time.

wait until the last minute and

for help instead of doing it all herself.

I still say 100% of Christmas related stuff should be prohibited until Black Friday, though (well, at least in the US, anyway). Thanksgiving is a perfectly good holiday. Don't move on to the next one until we've dealt with Thanksgiving and moved on to the massive consumerist orgy that inevitably follows.

My mom usually puts up a few decorations here and there for Hanukkah, but we never do anything very serious. Putting them all up takes a grand total of like... ten minutes. The focal point of Hanukkah is the menorah, and that takes no effort to use whatsoever. You put candles in it, say a few blessings, and light them. That's it.
