I bought a dwarf Korean lilac bush and a Pink Cherry tomato plant with the greenhouse gift certificate I got for my birthday. :thumb: I'm going back next week to pick up a couple of beefsteak tomato plants and perhaps a cactus!

Sounds good, GreenTea! I take it
that the cactus will be kept i-
ndoors, correct? Just mak-
e certain that if you ha-
ve any pets (especia-

don't dine on it.

Yep, the cactus is to be an indoor plant. :) My cat pays my houseplants absolutely no mind at all. I even grew him his own container of cat grass and he didn't pay it much attention either. I guess he's used to all the plants, since some of them have been around longer than he has. :)

My dad bought one of those (got two with the special offer). We've planted tomatoes in one and zucchini in the other. Don't know if they'll work or not, but be warned! Make sure they're secure! Ours have fallen over several times due to storms and wind. Dad's going to try anchoring them with tomato stakes and twine. Hopefully that'll keep them from falling over. >.<

As for what I've bought.....

CPU Cooling Fan
and
Portabook

They should be here soon, I hope!

Well...you guys know the stuff I had to, "buy." =(

But today I stopped and ordered a new pair of glasses. I also swung by Gamestop and picked up Chocobo Tales and From The Abyss for the DS.

I got one of those like 2 weeks ago and boy are they heavy once they have soil in them!!!! :twitch: So I know what you mean there. I think hanging it from a tree would work best.

Dad staked them so we'll see if they fall over (again). I just hope they work! Dad's been watching way too many infomercials since he's been laid off.

The lilac bush is still wee-tiny. Only about 1' tall right now with itty-bitty leaves budding on it. :vibes:

I saw a commercial for that topsy-turvy thing. Sure looks kewl, but I have absolutely nowhere to hang it. :\

I went to the greenhouse today and picked up four beefsteak tomato plants, five yellow Johnny Jump-up plants, some velcro plant ties, three small trellises, and some plant wire. Then I went to the Dollar Store and bought two outdoor planters as well as a new pot for my indoor hibiscus tree. :thumb:

Non-plant-related, I picked up two plastic storage tubs and a 2-pack of Vacuum cube bags to assist me on my spring cleaning blitz. :)

Ingrid, the tomatoes fell over again.....Dad took out the Topsy-Turvy's until next year. Seems we'll have to be creative in putting it together next year. ^^;; Let us know how yours turn out!

That's good though! Most experts think smaller plants adjust much quicker than larger ones. It's gonna be beautifully fragrant next spring! ;)

I got some beefsteak seeds that I need to plant this week! That variety look so juicy! :biglick:

Aren't those velcro plant ties AWESOME?!?! I also got some for the first time this year! You know what else is super handy? The garden twist ties that are just regular twist ties but it comes in a roll by the yard.

Sounds like you are really getting into plants this year, eh? That's awesome!!!! :vibes: :D

Have any pictures of your garden or what's growing right now? ;)
