Only 49 days till Halloween!!!!

There's only 49 days left till Halloween!!!!!! Have you started planning yours yet???? You want to get started soon so that you can find the good stuff out there. I did my first shopping for new decor items yesterday. Bought a new sign to hang on the wall and a cool little potions bottle that supposedly holds "Witch's Wand Dust." Was just too cute. Michaels craft store is one of the best places to shop. They always have new stuff every year. Time to start thinking of a costume too. Not what I want to dress as yet this year. What does everyone else have in mind for this year????

Not much planned yet, but got a Halloween bandanna for my puppy and some Halloween toys for him that he won't get to use till October.

Once again, I shall be Candybot, but this year, I'm doing it right. Instead of making the thing out of cardboard boxes with aluminum foil over them again, I put together a hinged wood frame that forms a 4' x 4' x 5' box when assembled. This morning, I went and got a big roll of reflective insulation to use as the walls, which is nice because the stuff is not only pleasingly metallic and robot-looking, but it's also light and durable (it's actually bubble wrap with shiny stuff over it ). Now that I have all the materials, sometime in the next week or so, I'll cut and attach the insulation to the frame and cut the holes in the front wall for me to see and hand out candy through. All that'll be left after that is to make a Candybot 9003 sign with cut out letters so I can put a light behind them, get some red Christmas lights to drape over the thing (preferably ones that blink) so it looks more like a cheezy '50s sci-fi B-movie robot, and find a cheap megaphone of some sort. It'll probably be too hard for the kids to hear me through the insulation otherwise, even with as loud as I am.

Well, I now have the annoying task of having to try and find an alternative place to be Candybot this year, because the wanktard mayor of Bexley refuses to let kids trick-or-treat on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. He insists upon always doing it on a Thursday, and I have class all that afternoon and evening which I can't afford to miss. Feck.
