I haven't done much reading outside of schoolwork, but I'm thinking about checking out WWW: Wake (it kinda reminds me of the concept of Serial Experiments: Lain). A while ago I finished the four book series A Man of His Word which starts with The Magic Casement, which I found to be a decent fantasy series with a really interesting system of magic, but did take about half the first book to get off the ground. Still it made for a pretty enjoyable read overall, and once it was rolling it stayed entertaining.
Book thread go!
Read any good books lately?
Re: Read any good books lately?
Currently reading a book by Bruno Friesen called; 'Panzer Gunner: A Canadian in the German 7th Panzer Division'.
Auto-biography of a Canadian-born of German descent who gets sent back to Germany prior to WWII by his parents, ends up fighting in the war as a tank gunner, then comes back to Canada to live in the same house he lived in before being sent to Germany.
While I love historical books written by people who 'were there and did that', the fact that, based on the locations that the author speaks of in Canada, there's a very good chance that I am in some way related to him makes it all the more interesting.
