I can't vote for one as I have quite a few of those around the same distance! McD's, Burger King and Taco Bell are all together up one way... then Wendy's and Subway are down another way around the same distance from me Then right around the corner from me there's a pizza place, a sub shop and a chinese food place. So I guess I'll say other.. that'll cover it

There's a Wendy's that's technically the closest, but a City Barbeque is like right across the street from it and there are at least three other restaurants in the next block over. My apartment complex is practically surrounded by places to eat.

For me... it's mostly local that's the closest as there's a bar (The Old Panhead) only a block away that does takeout.

However, for franchises... it would be the Pizza Ranch that's only a block & a half away (yea! Walking distance!)

LOL I was gonna say, there's no Burger King or Wendy's within almost 50 miles of you? That's the middle of nowhere, all right. The part of Columbus I live in is exactly the opposite. The following chain restaurants are all within five minutes' drive of my apartment:

There are also at least half a dozen bars, a Japanese/Western bakery, and a strip club/restaurant, if you wanna count those, too. And that's just the ones that I'm aware of, not counting the big grocery stores that have a full deli in them (two Krogers and a Giant Eagle), the fast food installment inside the nearby Wal-Mart (I think it's a McDonalds), the Italian ice place, the ice cream place or the Pepperidge Farm outlet store. I haven't even gone into some of the strip mall plazas around here, nor am I usually paying close attention while driving around, so there could be an additional ten places to eat within five minutes of me, for all I know. I seriously feel like I'm living in a giant multicultural kitchen sometimes.
