HIPPA stops that. I can't get ANY info whatsoever on her health unless she signs a release form.
I either go and make sure she does it or sit back and wonder if it happened. Maybe she will change her mind and not do it as well after she hears the heart beat and gets more counseling. I have to hold on to some hope, even if it is just a very slight chance, that she will at least choose adoption instead.I'm just not ready to give up all hope yet,I'll fight it until the end,it's all I can do. I know it will likely do no good but I still can't sit back and not at least try to do something more. I have a lot to gain if I can stop her from doing it. It would still be hard for an adoption to take place but I would agree to it over abortion any day.

Even though it's your kid that she plans to have aborted? Are you absolutely sure that the father has no rights in this situation? If not, then that's stupid. I mean, we all know the entire system is biased against men as it is, but still...

110% sure. It's the womans body it's her choice. Rowe vs Wade changed it all.

Ah. Figures. :o You know, I just thought of something, though. Even if you don't drive her there yourself, you'd find out soon enough if she went through with it or not just by taking one look at her. Granted, that wouldn't work if she totally avoids you, but it doesn't sound like she's a nutjob like your ex or anything. If she's trustworthy at all, shouldn't you be able to take her word for it and spare both you and her the misery of that car ride? :\

It's kind of looking like that car ride may never happen now.As it stands, she doesn't have the money to get it done. Her car broke down and she called me for a ride.
I took her since it was for work.We talked and I find out her electric is about to get shut off,her rent is due and her car has a bad fuel pump.
She has 10 days to get it done and everything paid for.I've decide to opt out of giving any money for something I don't believe in.I did not tell her that directly,I just told her I am up to my ears in bills and don't have enough to pay mine.
She says she will find a way but I don't think she will. She hasn't told anyone still and won't. I haven't asked what her plan is or anything,I'll let her approach me about it and I will tel her adoption is a better way to go with it. I can't fanthom taking her back for just thinking about doing it.
I'll wait 10 days and see what happens I guess. I feel kind of guilty for shutting her out on money but I am on a mission to save that baby's life, now I will do anything it takes to stop it.I've even considered doing something to my car so that it won't start the morning we are to leave. I think there is a switch or fuse for the fuel pump I can do something with. It may be wrong what I am doing, forcing her into it,but at least the baby has a chance to live.

No, I can't really blame you for thinking about faking car issues, considering what's at stake here. The way the law is written doesn't leave you with any other options. I hope what doesn't happen is that she waits until she finds the money and then goes and has the abortion anyway. The longer she puts it off, the more inhumane it is. With any luck, she'll change her mind and it never comes to that.

That's the thing, the longer she waits the more it cost and more painful it will be. After Jan 5th it will nearly double in price with her getting knocked out for the procedure. I don't know what the cut off week is for them to be able to do it in a clinic but I am guessing 13 weeks is the last chance to have it done without surgery to do it and I know she won't be able to pay for it then. She'll have to go to the hospital for it and she has no insurance to pay for it,I don't think insurance will pay unless it's life or death, rape,or incest.
Like I said I make up excuses on why I have no money to help and not telling her the truth about it.I'll never tell her what I am up to but to me,if I can save this baby,it was more then worth it.
I'll know soon if my ploy works or not.

Edit:Been thinking more and more that if she doesn't do the abortion and opts for adoption,I will get custody of the baby before she knows what even hit her. I reviewed laws on adoption and I do have a leg to stand on and I will use my rights at that time and register on the Indiana putative father registry through the state health dept. I will do all this in private so that she can't back out of it.

Why won't she just carry the baby to term and sign it over to you? Give up her rights?

If she doesn't want a child or children, then she needs to either get her tubes tied or keep her legs closed.

I'm a little lost now on that reason. I haven't talked to her but she has attempted to text me and call me leaving voice mails and messages on face book.
I have a text block on my phone so it just goes into a log and her calls go straight to voice mail.I refuse to speak to her and listen to any more BS reasons.
She keeps saying she wants to be together and get counseling but I am not up for that. I made my choice and have told her that I will not go along with the abortion in any way,no money no ride, nothing. She's pretty much on her own from here on out unless she changes her mind then I will help with the baby if she is forced into carrying it now, but there will be no more relationship with her.

Why would you want to get custody of the child, though, unless it were for the purpose of giving it up for adoption? You said yourself you can't afford to raise another child.
