All the data I've ever seen has shown that the more educated kids are, the less likely they are to run into problems like early pregnancy or STIs. In that sense, I don't really see the doll as such a big problem. Besides, trying to draw a line between girls playing with a doll and actually wanting a baby is no different than trying to draw a line between gamers playing violent games and actually wanting to perform those acts in real life; the connection just isn't there.

Honestly, I don't even see the point of having a specialized doll that simulates breast-feeding, because I know for a fact that little girls do that with their regular dolls anyway. My five-year-old cousin did when I saw her this past winter, and it never struck me as out of the ordinary. All she was doing was mimicking what she saw her mom do with her infant little brother. Besides, they probably charge more for this doll than for some other ones, which makes it a waste of money.
