Towns and neighborhoods have been wiped off the map. People were pulled out of their basements by the storm after it swept their houses right off the foundations. Nowhere was safe in the path of this thing. Also, they recovered people, alive and dead, out of the debris without limbs. Tuscaloosa, Alabama was one of the hardest hit with an EF-4 tornado leveling a large portion of the city.

Obama to tour Alabama Storm damage tomorrow.

Some brave Kiwis! Tornado rips though Auckland, New Zealand

Cripes, what is this, Crazy Tornado Year? Not to mention that poor New Zealand has no luck at all. First they get whacked upside the head by a sizeable earthquake, and then they get flattened by a large random tornado. Let's hope that the extent to which nature decides to abuse them (and the rest of us, for that matter) for a while.
