I'm still around. Just so much going on in my life right now. You know how they say things happen in threes??? It's true. LOL In the past few weeks has my brother has announced he's getting divored after 20 years of marriage. That came as a complete shock. There was no hint of anything major going on with him. Adjusting to this. Then my mom has two medical issues going on and is looking at 2 surgeries in the near future. First, her dr found a small spot on the bottom of one of her lungs. They weren't able to do a biopsy, so they tried a PET scan instead to get a better look at it. Still not sure if it's canerous, but they decided to remove it while it's still small. Just waiting to hear from the surgeon and get that scheduled. In the mean time, she started having problems with her left hip. It completely gave out on her one day and sent her to the ER. Found out that her hip replacement is finally wearing out after 25 years plus part of the bone that the replacement was attached to has broken a little bit. So she's using a walker to get around for now and the orthopedic dr is loking to see if they can still get parts for her hip replacement. They want to just replace the top part instead of doing a full replacement again. They'll also have to do a bone graph where the bone has broken some, but that'll come from a bone grown in a jar. lol So I'm spending my time helping her out as much as I can.

Some news about me, I'm in the process of changing dr.s. I really liked the dr I had, but she didn't treat chronic pain. I finally found someone that would. My dr. always told me if I could that to go ahead and switch over. She'd understand and be cool with it. I see my dr in July. Hopefully I'll finally get the help I need with my pain issues. I really hope so. Everything else is going ok. I'll try to get back online more. Missed coming here.

Yiiiiiiiikes, Sis!! I am sorry to hear that life has been so difficult lately! I really hope that your Mom's issues turn out to be nothing! Good idea to change doctors. Hopefully you'll find one that gives you the treatment you need and that you can feel comfortable with.

There hasn't been any surgery yet. She's still waiting to hear from the surgeon to get everything scheduled. On both issues. lol Poor woman. She's a nervous wreck right now with all of this. Will be at least a month before she sees ortho again and she should hear back abouth the other within the next few days. I'll keep things update on here as I get more info.

On top of everything else, I found out last night that my best is having a relapse of her Bell's Palsey. It makes it difficult for her to talk at times so I can't even call her for support. She lives in Florida. Anyone want to call and talk??? LOL Things just keep snowballing it seems. At least we had our first 80 degree day here over the weekend. That was nice.

freezing some bottled water for the commute a-

Got word today that my mom will having her lung surgery on the 29th (next wednesday). They're hoping it will be an easy procedure and she may only be in the hospital overnight. All depends on how things go when they get in there. At least her first surgery is now scheduled. This is the one she's really worried about. I'll keep things updated. She goes to see her orthopedic dr again tomorrow so should have an update about that soon.
