Well damn, man, I never knew Robin Williams was such a gaming geek. Only serious geeks name their kids after video game characters. He officially gets a metaphorical cookie from me for this one.

Nor did I, but I guess you never know
what influence people to do the th-
ings that they do. I normally do-
n't associate celebrities with
gaming since back in the
late eighties and early
nineties, it was ge-

There is already a Peach(es) but her parents are not gamers. Just...like strange names for their daughters.

Considering that her middle name is Honeyblossom... I'd say yes.Masamune wrote:There is already a Peach(es) but her parents are not gamers. Just...like strange names for their daughters.

Indeed. It's comparable to the beards of the old-timey US presidents from back in the mid 19th and early 20th centuries, when having facial hair was practically a requirement for holding that office.Nakor wrote:He has such an epic beard now.
Anyway, on the Presidential Beard Scale, I'd rank Williams's beard right alongside James Garfield's:
Re: ROBIN & ZELDA WILLIAMS 3DS COMMERCIAL (VIDEO)...
Maybe that's what America needs. Another bearded president. Although, Obama would probably look terrible in a beard. So would most of the republican candidates though. Although that dude from The Rent Is Too Damn High party has a pretty awesome beard, maybe you should elect him.

Re: ROBIN & ZELDA WILLIAMS 3DS COMMERCIAL (VIDEO)...
Actually, in the first two pics of Obama with the gray beard, he reminds of Morgan Freeman but with better teeth. See?

Of course, I'd rather vote for Morgan Freeman for president than Obama, but that's a different matter.
You know, I just had a thought about the US presidents with facial hair vs. the non-facial hair ones. Initially, we had all clean-shaven presidents, and they started out awesome (Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison). Then they started getting more mediocre over time, until Lincoln came along and brought back the awesomeness. Unfortunately, none of the subsequent facial hair presidents ended up being anywhere near as good as Lincoln, although some of them were at least halfway decent and Teddy Roosevelt did establish the US National Parks system (props to him for that). The members of the current run of clean-shaven presidents have been decidedly meh, with more iffy presidents than solidly good ones and nobody very good at all since Reagan. Maybe that means it's time to go back to bearded presidents again. Their karma should have regenerated enough by now to get at least one good term out of them. Granted, that means no female presidents for a while, but I don't care all that much for any of the female candidates right now, anyway.

I still think Stewart and Colbert should run. >.> (Well, technically, Colbert already did once. Sort of.)
So would the best option be to alternate bearded and clean-shaven presidents? Kind of like a farmer rotates crops?

Re: ROBIN & ZELDA WILLIAMS 3DS COMMERCIAL (VIDEO)...
Meh. I don't like Stewart and Colbert's only amusing in character. I'd rather vote for Robin Williams's beard.
As for the facial hair rotation, maybe it would be good to also rotate between different types of facial hair, to avoid having too many presidents of any one type in a row. Clean-shaven, thin moustache, goatee, full beard, handlebar moustache, chinstrap beard, mutton chops, etc. etc. Somebody can also bring back the Chester A. Arthur moustacheburns while they're at it:

Stylish.

Gak. Are you sure he wasn't Martian or something? Those look like feelers, not whiskers.

Re: ROBIN & ZELDA WILLIAMS 3DS COMMERCIAL (VIDEO)...
ROFL They're not any weirder than anything the contestants in the World Beard and Moustache Championships wear every year. Granted, Arthur was the President of the US, not a contestant in a crazy facial hair competition, but there's nothing in the Constitution that says the president can't have crazy moustacheburns things.
I also take it that no Canadian PM has ever had facial hair quite that looney.
Re: ROBIN & ZELDA WILLIAMS 3DS COMMERCIAL (VIDEO)...
I think the closest we can come is this guy, one of only a couple bearded PM's going by the list of photos on the parliament site. But to be fair, it's not his beard that's weird so much as his face. >.>

Re: ROBIN & ZELDA WILLIAMS 3DS COMMERCIAL (VIDEO)...
XD The shape of his face reminds me a bit of a chimpanzee's. We haven't had any presidents who've looked that much like a monkey, but we have had one (Taft) who was so fat that got stuck in a White House bathtub, prompting him to have a custom, extra-large one brought in for him.
