My mom is in the hospital

I mentioned on here before that my mom was having some medical problems. She went in wednesday for surgery to remove a small nodule in her left left lung. They decided it was cancer, but they needed to do some tests to determine what type. She's had colon cancer in the past and wanted to know if it moved. They found out on Thursday afternoon that it was just lung cancer which is actually a good thing. She back in friday morning for a second surgery and they removed the lower left lobe of her left lung. That should resolve everything. There hasn't been any mention yet of chemo. So we're very hopeful. Not sure just how long she'll be in the hospital though. Please keep her in your thoughts for me. I could really use it right now. Thanks.

Looks like she'll be there a few more days at least. That's what the nurse told me today.

Yikes... hope your mom pulls through ok! She's lucky to be in a position where they can actually remove it and possibly recover! Early detection can work miracles when it comes to fighting off cancer.

Thnks everyone. She came home today from the hospital. Goes back next neek to o see the dr to fund out if thry want to do any chemo. So far everything looks pretty good.
