Ohhhh, so it was basically like a generic singing filler. No wonder it didn't translate. So yeah, the Black Piets are totally ninjas - you can hear them, but not see them. Sinterklaas is so much more badass than Santa. :looney:

Anyway, I've never heard of raclette before, but I see from the Wiki page that it's very similar to fondue. The only real difference is that instead of melting the whole block of cheese in a pot and then dipping stuff in it, you melt part of the block against a grill or open flame and then scrape it off like a spread. Sounds good. I'd eat that if somebody were serving eat. :chew:

fondue is awesome. Cheesefondue...

But with fondue you dip your bread in the cheese...with Raclette you melt teh cheese and either eat it lik ethat or spread it over..whatever. Similair! It is very um...well, nice to eat :)

Th ePietern always make mistaes, they trip, loose the book with the names of the children, get lost, loose the presents..It's very funny to see how my son reacts to all the news..We have Sinterklaasjournaal. Special news about how its all going (wil sint be on time, are the pieten ok? are the presents..present?) its so funny...And teh schools also interact with htis journaal: this year they had to put up a flag which blew away so the Pieten didn't know where the presents should go (cuz the book was gone)

Ahem. I am an enthousiast. :)

I already said that raclette differs from fondue in that you scrape raclette off the cheezblock instead of dipping stuff in it. Silly Bel. :poke: Ironically enough, I actually saw some raclette for sale when I was at the grocery store the other day. I wouldn't have known what it was if not for this thread. Weeee, I learned something. :p

:lolhard: So Sinterklaas has a horde of incompetent ninjas that follow him around instead of a horde of toy-building midget slaves in a factory at the north pole. Culture! :looney:

South Park is quite accurate with their satire, but I still wouldn't quite call the show profound. It's too kooky and warped to be profound for me.
