Making good progress so far! Finding it worlds better than the disappointment that was Revelations... I got bored fast with the "defend your fort" mechanic in that game... laaaaaaame :p If I wanted to play a strategy game, I would... when I play Assassin's Creed I want stealth action ass kicking :p But AC III has been great so far! Loved landing in Boston and knowing exactly where I was and where I was going without much aid of the map... even if it is historical Boston, it's stiiiiiill Boston! Playing as the main character now and just messing around with hunting (reminds of Red Dead Redemption with a splash of God of War with the button combo finishing). So far gameplay is what I expect from an AC title, so it's been refreshing after the previous title

I guess that shows how well I've been following the Assassin's Creed series
(laughs). I didn't know that they incorporated such a mechanic to the
gameplay. I've only really played part one which I still haven't com-
pleted but from what I have played, I couldn't see gameplay de-
viating from the action/stealth style that I've come to recog-
ize it from. Then again, I guess they've tried something d-
ifferent to keep things interesting. I guess it's good th-
at at least from what you've played, that this mech-
anic wasn't added to this edition of the series. T-
he AC series is starting to become as deep as
GTA in terms of openness, scale and activ-
ities. I would like to open up my copy,
but with GTA V coming soon and m-
y devotion to Dragon's Crown an-
d Animal Crossing New Leaf r-
ight now (laughs), I doubt
that this will happen a-
ny time soon before
GTA V is release-
d. Have you p-
articipated
in any s-
hip b-
attles as
of yet? I gue-
ss Boston is Bosto-
n, even in gaming (lau-
ghs). All of the inspirations
for this AC title seems to have
steered it in a good direction. It w-
ill be interesting to see how much dee-
per the next chapter in the series will get.

Congratulations with your rebuilt save for SOCOM, Kenseiden!
What will be your next gaming endeavor? That's great th-
at you've acquired Wind Waker HD, Roemello! What
do you think of it if you don't mind me asking? B-
y now, you've probably already completed i-
t (laughs). I really didn't hear much of a-
ny major improvements for WWE 2K-
14, but of course, I'll be getting
if for the holiday. Every year,
there's a big feature that's
promoted, but I don't re-
member hearing of a-
ny this year. Still,
I'm going to ge-
t it eventua-
lly. I've s-
topped
play-
ing Ani-
mal Crossi-
ng and have b-
een messing arou-
nd with GTA V which
I'm really enjoying now!

Oh yeah, long finished Wind Waker... still a great game, though found it alot easier after going through the hell of Skyward Sword  I much prefer playing a Zelda game with an actual controller, though... I wish they could somehow make Twilight Princess & Skyward Sword playable with the Wii U gamepad in much the same way as Wind Waker is controlled!

Now on WWE 2K14... can't say I'm very impressed outside of the Wrestlemania mode, but not a bad first for 2K. I think they seriously need to rebuild it from the ground up, though... too many flaws in the current system... I think they can put together something far better for the next gen consoles.

Knowing Nintendo, that'll be their next venture (laughs). I still haven't
played Skyward Sword, but I've heard of how troublesome the mo-
tion mechanics were, especially during lengthy play sessions.
So what do you think of the Wii U? Have you picked up a-
ny other games for it just yet? I was considering one
now that the price drop but decided against it f-
or the moment since there's a lot of Vita ga-
mes being released that I'm enjoying fo-
r short gaming moments and at the
convenience of playing just ab-
out anywhere. Right now, I
am attempting to get i-
nto these two titles
which I've recen-
tly acquired
thanks to
gift ca-
rds.

-Injustice: Gods Among Us (Vita)
-Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Vita)

O-
h, an-
d I agree
that the cur-
rent model syst-
em for the WWE ga-
mes as of late needs so-
me corrections. I still think
that they can accomplish more
before going next-gen, but I guess
their take on this is that if they've spe-
nd years on a system that works and helps
to create a game that is still selling, there's no
need to fix what isn't entirely broke (laughs). But it
would be interesting to see what they can do with next
gen technology. Actually, I'd like to see what the 2K basket-
all division can do with the wrestling genre. If their passion for
wrestling is as deep as their passion for basketball games, it's a win!

Congratulations on the newest additions to your
collection, Kenseiden! Soul Calibur III was
the start of SC games that I haven't p-
layed since the cameo appearan-
ces of Link, Heihachi and Sp-
awn were absent, two o-
f which I really liked.

Welcome back, Pelord! Congratulations on acquiring a Wii U!
I hope to get one myself especially since the price drop
but that won't happen any time soon (laughs). The-
re aren't that many games that I wanted on th-
e Wii U, though Super Mario 3D World is o-
ne title that impressed me significant-
ly! I also thought that Zombi U see-
med interesting. The New Supe-

hat I wouldn't mind o-

I'd take Ninten-

I've started playing through the Baldur's Gate games. Going to try out playing as a sorcerer. I've always heard that those games (especially Baldur's Gate II) are supposed to be the pinnacle of D&D style RPGs, so I figured they're worth a shot.

Good choice, Nakor! It's a shame that my first
Baldur's Gate experience came when it b-
ecame available on the PS2... howev-
er that version was much more ac-
tion orientated (which was int-
entional since console gam-
ers weren't known to be
that patient when it
comes to D&D st-
yled titles for
the time).

screens before falling asleep (laughs).

Yeah, on PC, the GOG version (basically just the original but the download is pre-patched and everything). I also found a mod (more like an overhaul really) that merges the two games into one, so you continue smoothly from I into II, assuming I make it that far.

The early game in BG1 is basically like any other D&D campaign -- level 1 characters are rather squishy.

I bought the Wii U just a week or two before the price drop was announced, lol. I would have most likely picked up the Wind Waker HD bundle if I had waited.

Right now all I really have for it is Nintendo Land, Sonic Lost World, and Super Mario 3D World. Haven't really put much time into any of them as of yet. I also downloaded the Wii U version of DuckTales Remastered, which I have completed once.

The games I'm waiting for are DKC Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros. Wii U, and Bayonetta 2.

I've still mostly been playing Xbox 360 games, especially with the Games with Gold promotion. Out of that I've downloaded Fable III, Crackdown, Dead Rising 2, and Halo 3.
