Started a new job

The company I was working for sold out back on Feb 1st 2014 and changed a bunch of things around.I stuck around for 1 1/2 months hoping to make enough to pay bills but it just kept getting worse.
So I got a job with their competition and I think we are doing well and taking business from them. The old company really screwed up.They have their dispatch in a different city and using 1 dispatcher for 2 cities and it's not working.
The new company was only running 1 car on weekends but for the past 2,I have been with him and business has really picked up.We went and passed business cards out to every hotel in town and the weekday night driver said he had the best week he has has in months,mostly the hotels calling for rides.
It was my idea for the cards and I know the person who hired me on was skeptical about doing it,but admitted it was a good choice I made and I have free reign on advertising. We have 4 drivers for now,which will have to increase due to demand,but we share the cost of advertising.

You would not believe the horrible things I heard about my old employer when passing out cards.The hotel employees and managers were more then happy to call us this week when our wait time was 20 mins or less and the old company was always a 20 minute wait on the phone and a 1-2 hour wait if they showed up. I think I made the right move in switching over. We talked about it for the last year of doing so and now that I have,it has really been less stressful for me. The new boss doesn't force me into anything he wouldn't do himself unlike the old place.
It did not end well with the old employer,but I won't go back to it. I like the freedom I have now and being able to put my ideas to work and show someone that they do work is much better. I think between the 2 of us just tonight we pulled in nearly $600 in cash. A far cry from where I was just a few weeks ago.

How are you feeling these days? Hope all is better!!!

Doing ok on sleep. Been working Mon-Wed Days and Thurs-Sat overnights. I have been hearing my old company is about to pull the plug and leave! I guess things aren't so peachy as they thought when the new owners took over. The drivers that were there5 or more years told them how it is here,but what do we know? I was there 10 years and could guess pretty good when we would be busy and not be busy.We did take yet another driver away from them who works Thurs-Sun days.We are trying to get the days going good like before since they had no day shift in several months.It's slowly coming up day by day.

I haven't been well and just been coping with everything. Ended up going to the ER last Sunday. Missed a weekend of work on top of that. I took on a second job and was able to make it 1 day and it was to much on my back so I slept from Thurs-Sat.It was like my body just shut down from being in pain. Getting better then it was but still not 100%.

I wish I had better news about my back but it's only getting worse. I was told I need surgery but good luck finding a Dr who will do it at my age. I've discussed it with my Dr because no other Dr explained why and he told me they can go in and "clean" my back up but would have to do it every few years as it would grow back and be worse each time. He said for me to just hold out a few more years until I am over 40 and he is sure it won't be a problem then or wait until the pain is shooting down both legs and I loose control of my bladder and well you get the point. So I will be suffering until then and IDK how I am going to make it.Pain meds are a joke and stopped taking them as much as I was.I have some on hand for really bad days but the really bad days are catching up with me. No one really know how bad it is until I start sleeping and keep sleeping for several hours and rarely up.That's when everyone around me knows I am in serious pain. Not sure why it's like that,could be my blood pressure being sky high,but I am on meds for that also. I don't think I will get an answer anytime soon on what can be done to fix me.Just doped up and sent on my way. Seems to be the American Doctors way and then the Gov't cries prescription medication abuse is high and put strict rules in place. It's so bad,now herion use and overdose is on the rise ten fold in my state. Good job lawmakers!!!

the "medical professionals" couldn't do more to better diagnose an-
d treat your ailment. This is not the biblical era when medica-
l issues couldn't be properly diagnosed and the appropria-

Have you tried stretching exercises to relieve the pain?
