Re: What are you playing right now?
Just picked up Bravely Default the other day. The game isn't afraid at all to kill you, which is a breath of fresh air in games of late. One can get around most encounters by grinding, it's true, but good strategy and picking good job/ability combinations is more effective. It's pretty fun.

That's great, Kenseiden! I've never played Warhammer at
all. Have you made any progress in it as of yet? I've h-
eard of Bravely Default, Nakor... and congratulat-
ions on obtaining it. I've learned that it almost
didn't make the trip from over seas initially
but was finally given the green light. Th-
is is a title that I've read of in gaming
magazines, but forgot about. I'll se-
e if I can learn more of it later.
Right now, I'm still making p-
rogress in Dragonball Z: B-
attle of Z since it featu-
res RPG-like element-
s in terms of obtai-
ning items to up-
grade one's ch-
aracters. In
spite of a-
ll the p-
rogre-
ss that I
have made,
I still have a lo-
ng way to go. Card-
s help to upgrade the c-
haracter's abilities, but the-
y're expensive and every week,
new cards become available. The
one I want, I'm not even at the halfw-
ay point in terms of points needed to obt-
ain it... and with the schedule I have now, I
probably won't be able to get it. Also, new card-
s will become available each week. Oh well I guess.

Re: What are you playing right now?
I've beaten the game in all three difficulties, but I still have to get 'A' grades to begin unlocking cheats.

Re: What are you playing right now?
I played some early parts of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze last week. I was hoping to actually get back to Super Mario 3D World before I really try working more on that game, though.
I also finally completed my Co-Op playthrough of Crackdown.

That's great, Kenseiden! I'm sure by now, you've
managed to get all "A" rating, huh? Congrat-
ulations on your progress in Crackdown
2, Pelord. What did you think of Do-
nkey Kong Country: Tropical Fre-
eze? DKC games always provi-
ded challenging gameplay.
Does this one continue
with this theme? I've
unlocked all the c-
haracters in DB-
Z: Battle of Z
and right n-
ow, I'm j-

to un-
lock all o-
f the cards (w-

ers special abilities a-
nd effects). Also, I'm att-
empting to earn more "mon-
ey" to purchase said cards. Asi-
de from that, I'm starting Rayman:
Origins and Legends. That's about it!!

Re: What are you playing right now?
Bioshock Infinite for me. Now that titles are nice & cheap, picked up a few recently in the aforementioned, Gears of War Judgement and Fable Anniversary. Still not going for XBO or PS4 yet.... can't justify the buy when there's nothing for either I want to play. Now the one title I was looking forward to I may not bother with afterall either... from what I heard, there'll be a $14.99/month fee for Elder Scrolls Online. Adding another bill to my collection isn't quite what I'm looking for

Re: What are you playing right now?
Back to playing Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. The tournament is going on, and I'm hoping I can manage a win during the period it runs; I've only won 3 times before.
My tourney page if anyone's interested: http://dobrazupa.org/tournament/0.14/pl ... alfon.html

I don't blame you for holding out on a next-gen system
Roemello, because at the moment, there's no real
need to upgrade, especially since in my opinio-
n, a single game or two is not a real reason
to upgrade and current gen is still getti-

Re: What are you playing right now?
I got one win during the tourney, but it was with an easier combo. I placed 216th, and there were just over 2000 people who had at least 5 points on the board, about 1400 who had at least 50 (meaning some level of activity), so it's not too bad. Wish I'd got one of my harder wins like Demonspawn Warper or something, I'd be top 200; alas.
I have kinda given up on consoles in general, though I have a 3DS courtesy of my sister, and so I've got a Harvest Moon game and Bravely Default, which has a great combat and class system and a cliché (albeit decent for such) story. I'll likely pick up the Phoenix Wright game for it sooner or later.
But no home consoles here. I've kinda given up on all the $60 games altogether. 90% of what I actually enjoy ends up being $20 or under, while big name $60 games just disappoint. Maybe it's an expectations thing. Or maybe it's just that the big games all follow some formula or other, while a lot of the indie/cheaper titles just try to do something fun. (Maybe they can just afford to experiment more; that's risky if you're a huge company putting 7 digits into your games.) It's also nice to have games you don't have to pour dozens of hours into, of course.

Re: What are you playing right now?
Do board games count here? We just picked up Suburbia (basically SimCity the board game for 2-4 players) and two expansions for Carcassonne (Inns & Cathedrals, and Traders & Builders). All three have proven to be good pick-ups in my opinion.

Re: What are you playing right now?
Congratulations on your tourney win, Nakor! Being in the 200's
in a list of 2000 is quite the achievement in my opinion. I
too do not play console games like I used to. I tend t-
o get more involved in micro-gaming and short te-
rm gaming sessions. My most recent session ha-
ppens to be Borderlands 2 for the Vita. I've
never played the console versions of th-
e original nor the sequel, but I'm rea-
lly enjoying this one. SOCOM 3 wa-
s one in the series that I've got-
ten the furthest, but even i-
n that, I haven't gotten t-
oo far. How much pro-
gress did you make
in SOCOM 3, Ken-
seiden? Yes, N-
akor, board-
games do
count.
Sp-
eakin-
g of such
games, I've p-
layed Uno (physic-
cal version) with two
family members last wee-
k. I used to enjoy that game b-
ack then. That gaming session lea-
d to a short moment with Monopoly (a-
nother classic game I've enjoyed back the-
n). I'll have to research the games you mentio-
ned Nakor. I've not heard of them, but then again,
these days, I don't follow gaming information like I us-
ed to. Now this is a video of my latest gaming acquisition:

(it's been a while since I've really picked up much...)
(and gameplay footage... sorry for the quality of video, but I was rushing...)

I'm still having a lot of fun with Borderlands 2
on the Vita and probably will continue
to for some time. It's a shame I mi-
ssed out on the console exeri-

Re: What are you playing right now?
Changed my tune since last post
Decided to go with PS4 as my system of choice for the current gen as Xbox One still to this day has no exclusives that interest me. Not gonna get one until they do, so I'm on board PS4 for all 3rd party and exclusives on that one. Finished InFamous Second Son a while back... currently working on Assassin's Creed IV and after that will be Watch Dogs. Also toying with Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U
