It's a 2005 Has All Wheel Drive and more options then my 2003 Vibe I totaled in 2011. It has low mileage,79,2xx.After driving it today I was impressed with it so I talked to the car lot and they are holding it for me until I get my tax refund this week. I will have it today or tomorrow and my first stop is the bank, then car lot to get the car. I got a really good deal on it.$6000 plus taxes. Books for $8000. It has sit for a while and needed jumped but it ran well.We had a little snow overnight so I had to test the AWD since this is the first car I have drove with AWD and I liked the idea of not getting stuck in snow or on a patch of ice. I looked at 2 others and was actually going to get a 2010 Vibe that has 131,000 for the same price and I looked at a 2003 that had 152,000 but they wanted $5000 for it. The 2010 was boarder line as an ok deal, the 2003 is $1500 or so over priced. It makes more sense for me to get the 2005 since it has less miles. It needs a few things done to it.The windshield has a crack in it and the owner of the lot said he can get that done for me for $150 and it needs new tires. Oil and transmission fluid looked great and the radiator was good. I told the guy the car is sold if he will hold it for me.We worked out a deal we were both happy with.I would of paid more for it if I had to because I know it will last me a long time if I don't wreck it.
When I bought my 2003 Vibe,it had 67,000 miles on it and the only thing I done to it after a $900 transmission problem was a new starter, tires and oil changes and headlights.Other then that, when I wrecked it at 120,000 miles nothing else was wrong except for the AC compressor went bad which was not a big deal,I rarely use AC in the car unless it's over 100 degrees out. I drove my 2003 Vibe to Indianapolis and Evansville Indiana a lot and my nephew took it to North Carolina. I like the idea that the car has a Toyota Engine and Transmission. The car is based off the Toyota Matrix. It's a shame Pontiacs are no longer made. They were getting some really good cars off the line. I know someone with an 2003 Aztech and it has well over 200,000 and is not even taken care of or serviced,no oil changes in over a year. But it runs great and is drove a lot and nothing major has went wrong with it.
I took a few pictures of the Vibe I am getting hopefully in the next 48 hours. I'm ready for a road trip! The kids are excited that I am getting another Vibe and my dad was impressed with it as well since it had such low mileage and the body is good on it. There is a cigarette burn hole in the passenger seat but other then that, the interior looks good. My dad liked the 2003 Vibe I had and has always said it was the best car I ever owned and I have to agree with him on that. I have been waiting for almost 4 years to get another one of these cars. When I was looking at the 3 I found in town, the dealers were surprised I knew so much about them and that always helps and I end up talking for half an hour or so about them and Toyotas in general. They make a great car and even though it says Pontiac,I know I am driving a Toyota! If taken care of properly,I should get 300,000+ miles out of the car. That will take me 10 years as much as I drive
