What's the deal with all the shootings lately?

It's getting crazy in the US with all the shootings going on at schools and college campuses. They are all gun free zones and the only way to put an end to it is to allow law abiding citizens to carry concealed in gun free zones then it would stop or slow them down. The government wants more gun laws but that only hurts those who can legally carry like myself.
In the last month there have been 3 murders, one was a policeman shooting an armed person. I won't leave my house now without one or both of my guns with me.
Gun control will not take guns out of the hands of criminals or stop all the shootings. Most of the people doing them are not legally allowed to own a firearm.
I'm very much against anymore gun control and more for getting rid of gun free zones. The people who work or go to school are sitting ducks for someone to come in and start shooting. Teachers should be trained to carry and use a gun to keep our kids safe.
What are your thoughts on gun control and the shootings that keep going on? I know I am fed up with the government being so blind at where the shootings are happening.
