I refuse to play FFXI. THat game is a bigger slap to the face of FF fans everywhere than what CAPCOM delivered to it's fans on the PS by going over to the NGC. <

i could say the same thing about Square for ditching Nintendo, where they started Final Fantasy. >_<. There's no "slap in the face," tanis. It's business. And there's nothing about Capcom's decision that insults the fans, in any way. It just insults Sony. "As long as there are dreamers who have the courage to follow their dreams, there will be heroes. And as long as there are people who pursue the unkown, there will be new stories to be told...and new adventures to be had." ~ Skies of Arcadia Legends <

How do you figure it doesn't insult the fans GaimeGuy? <
><
>CAPCOM sits there, builds a hugly popular series (Resident Evil), along with all their others games, and then, without warning, decides that it's not going to publish for Sony anymore. Yeah, I'd say that was a slap to the face of CAPCOM fans. In fact, I know a couple people who were such diehard fans they bought every games produced by them. And now, the only words that come out of their mouths in regards to CAPCOM are curses.<
><
>So even if they didn't actually INTEND on insulting their loyal fans, they did it nonetheless.<
><
>And GaimeGuy, in regards to FFXI, I was referring to the fact that Sq-Enix (or whatever the hell they wanna call themselves) made the game online only, which annoyed a lot of people.<

They have all sold very well, X-2 to the best of my knowledge was not far behind X in sales. XI sold slightly under X I believe, however is raking in more and more profits due to its online nature. FF:CC also hit GCN's #1 rank in monthly sales on its release, and has remained near the top since. FFTA has also done extremely well for the GBA.<

I feel that it depends not on the style of game, but the effort level and quality put into said game. Since this is going back to classic style, the necessary elements are:<

>Square really needs to prove itself now, which means this game has to be as good as or better than its predecessors -- or at least damn close. Everything has to be well thought out and properly executed. For this reason, I suspect and hope for a long period of time before we see Final Fantasy XII. <i>There are many rules of<
