Re: Here we go again. -_- (Playstation 3 hype)
Yeah, I've gotta go with Tanis for the most part on this one. That really isn't PS3 hype, you know. It just happened to use the PS3 as an example because it's fresh in people's memory and therefore convenient to mention. It could just as easily have used the X-Box 360, which is also ridiculously powerful, so if you're gonna call something hype, actually make sure it really is hype next time. <
><
>Anyway, that wasn't trolling, Tanis. Even if what he said wasn't really true, he never said anything insulting, so you can't call it trolling. Don't take things so seriously, dude. <

Re: Here we go again. -_- (Playstation 3 hype)
Dude, there's a difference between complaining that there's hype for a company and insulting them outright. If you were actually insulting Nintendo, you probably were trolling, not that I ever said you were. I don't tend to take things seriously enough for that. <

No, you never said that Sony said it. But you never said that they didn't either.<
><
>You never said that it was some dumb scientist who was saying what he thinks might be the case based on information that Sony has released, despite the system still being half a year, at least, away from being released.<

The pic I supposedly saw of it made it look like some sort of weird ghetto blaster like thing. Or that it looked kind of like a Phallic. I mean it was flat at one end and rounded off at the other.<

Hmmm...looks pretty spiffy. It also looks completely different from the PS1 and PS2; even the controllers are way different. The PS2 controllers were almost identical to the PS1 ones.<

Re: Here we go again. -_- (Playstation 3 hype)
Actually, Tanis, the whole "it can launch nukes, do Ep 1 in real time, and is more powerful than a supercomputer!" thing was NOT said by sony, but again, "analysts" and "scientists."<
><
>I will admit, I'm not 100% certain on the "Toy story" quote, though. But I'm pretty certain that it wasn't said by Sony, either.<

Re: Here we go again. -_- (Playstation 3 hype)
Look, gaimeguy, you have to consider the unwritten meaning of what you say before you say it. Even if you didn't outright say that was Sony hype, it sure as hell came across that way. On top of that, the article itself wasn't even hype at all. Just pay more attention from now on... or something like that. <
><
>I saw an image someone edited that made the PS3 look like a grill. It was hilarious. And what's up with that weird-ass boomerang-looking controller design? Did they think that looks cool? It looks goofy to me. Well, whatever. The Revolution prototype was the coolest of all three next-gen system designs, with its shiny jet black case and the blue neon lighting in the slot loader. Sweetness. <

Yes, you NEED WiFi Smash Bros. The power of Smash compels you! The power of Smash compels you! <
><
>Seriously though, Nintendo's creativity is gonna make or
eak the Revolution. They've essentially decided to go with cheaper, somewhat less powerful technology in favor of something new and different (which they have yet to show us), hoping that people will find it fun. The hardcore gamers who only care about graphics and tried-and-true game concepts will be drawn to either the PS3 or the X-Box 360, but I have faith that Nintendo will be able to come up with something really cool that will
ing in new people who never really played games much before. Plus, there's WiFi Smash Bros. Muaha! <

I wonder how expensive these systems will be...maybe i should hold off and ask for them as Christmas gifts, or more likely, wedding gifts...
