Netflix...
I stopped going to movies or even renting them around 1990. Just lost
interest I guess. Once in awhile I would see one on tv, but for the most
part I have not seen the big releases for about 15 years.
This week I got 3 months of Netflix as a BD gift and I wouldn't mind any
recommendations for good movies to add to the queue I started tonight.
So far I have these 5 ordered...
1-Walk the Line (viewed)
2-Aviator
3-Million Dollar Baby
4-Cold Mountain
5-Catch Me If You Can
6-King Kong
7-Memoirs Of A Geisha
8-Crash
9-RV
10-Life Is Beautiful
11-The Motorcycle Diaries
12-The Terminal
13-Mystic River
14-Syriana
15-Run Lola Run
16-Amelie
17 & 18-Kill Bill 1& 2
19-Firewall
20-Good Night and Good Luck
21-Ray
22-The Station Agent
23-29th Street
Here is their selection.
So... what others to get..hmmm...

Personally I didnt care for Cold Mountain, too slow and boring, but all the others on your list are wonderful. Although havent seen Million Doallar Baby yet.
I Havent seen these yet but I heard Memoirs of a Geisha and Crash were excellent movies also. Also if you haven't seen Goodfellas yet, I recomend it.

I haven't seen these movies, but out of your list of new releases I want to see RV & Larry the Cable Guy ~ Health Inspector. The previews on those two movies looked funny

Gary, I would go with Crash. That movie is one of the best I've seen in a while.
Actually, tonight, I was trying to figure out what to add to my Mom's queue (she gave me her log in info) and there wasn't anything I really wanted to see. So I kept it the way it was. She has that comedy series, "Strangers With Candy" on the queue. That stars Amy Sedaris and it's a spoof of the afterschool specials from our childhoods. This show is hysterical.

Some I would like to add.
The Terminal
Amelie
The Motorcycle Diaries
Shaun of the Dead
A Home at the End of the World
Being John Malkovich
March of the Penguins
The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe
Ice Age
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
I have seen all of them and they are realy good. My fave of the list is Amelie. You have to be willing to read subtitles if you rent Amelie, because it is a french movie. The story is a great one. Also the way they filmed it is realy good. It looks like a fairytale.

Life is beautiful
Adaptation
Twice upon a yesterday
Unleashed
Millions
then you get into my weird movies fandom (not everybody likes my taste in movies so....take it with a grain of salt)
Run Lola Run
Princess and the Warrior
House of the Flying Dagger
Crouching tiger hidden dragon
Labyrinth
Dark Crystal
Sing (it's a 80s musical, so if you don't like musicals, don't get it.)

Oh where do I start! I have an expansive collections of movies that I would recommend.
I am a big movie buff! I have Netflix as well. If you need help just PM me.

Great movie!walvis wrote: Amelie
This reminds me of a couple that I also like from recent years:
Punch Drunk Love
Matchstick Men
Ghost World
Try some Miyazaki films, like "Spirited Away" or "Princess Mononoke", even if you don't normally like that kind of thing, his films are superior and wonderful. (And always watch them with subtitles, not the overdubs)

Mystic River anf Syriana I highly recommend!
