Do You Like Valentines Day?

Post by BlueMolly2006 »

I knw it's over a month off, but do you like Valentines Day?
I know it's not just for 'lovers" and it can celebrate with anyone you love, but I dislike it, because I don't have a significant other at the moment and it just brings me down. I always thought Valentine's Day was for lovers only and those of us who don't have anyone to love don't have a right to celebrate it. I know that's not ture though.

I can take it or leave it. I don't get too worked up over all the Valentine's schtick. I usually send a card and a small gift to my best guy friend...and this year, I'll be sending some goodies to my special someone as well.

It used to be just another day for me in the past... didn't dislike it, but didn't do anything special really either. Now of course however, I have a lot more fun with it... last years was definitely my best evah! :dgrin:

I know, but that's different, IMHO. Valentine's Day is meant for lovers from what I've learned. A single friend of mine told me that Valentine's Day should be renamed, "Lovers Rubbing Single People's Noses in It" Day. She said they should have a day for singles called, "Singles Appreciation Day," so the singles can rub it in to the couples out there who rub it in during Valentines Day. Maybe if I had a significant other to shower gifts too I'd change my perspecitve over Valentine's Day.
