How Do You Take Your Steak?

Post by Roemello »

Next to chicken, steak's probably my favorite meat, so the question arises for any other steak lovers out there.... how do ya take yours?

I've had it in every form, but have a preference to the medium range... anywhere between medium rare and medium well work best for me :dgrin:

I only get one choice? I picked Medium rare, but I also like it rare. I don't know why, but rare/medium rare steaks taste better.

Sorry, but I gotta have my steak well-done. I know alot of chefs refuse (or hate) to make them that way, but it's the only way I like it.

Rare steaks are too hard to cut and taste gooey, and well-done steaks are like shoe leather and taste too dry. Medium steaks are perfect, though I don't mind medium-rare either. Basically, I like it right down the middle, favoring rare.

I like my steaks well-done, and for that reason, I never order steak when at a restaurant. It's never done right...either too pink, or rock-hard. :yucky: I'll just cook my own steak at home, made exactly how I like it.

My Mom used to drink the left over blood from the steaks when she cooked them. She loves them still mooing.

Medium rare to medium well for me.... I'll eat it if it's pink in the middle, but I won't eat it if it's really bloody

Well done, but not to the point of being leathery. I'll eat it with a little tinge of pink.

From medium to medium well.

No mooing.

I do a lot better eating meat if I don't have evidence (blood) that it was once an animal.
