Do you like to Cook?

I'm a terrible cook. I think the thing I can cook the best are scrabled eggs, baked potatoes and lasagna. I've tried cooking rice once and it turned out like that episode of I Love Lucy where they switch jobs and Lucy and Ethel try their hands at a chocolate factory and Ricky and Fred have to do the household chores. Well, the scene I think of is when Ricky and Fred put the whole thing of rice in and it ends up all over the place.
I wish I could be better at cooking
I guess it depends on how I'm feeling when it comes time to cook. Usually I will try to do something that is super easy and fast. Both the hubster and I aren't eating as much as we used to (we both have Diabetes now), so usually meals are just one item whether it be a can of Beef Stew or a frozen pizza. But every now and then I'll try something original and it'll turn out not half bad. You'd think with all the cooking shows I watch, I'd be a fabulous cook, apparently nothing sinks in.

I hate cooking. Battling weight & health issues has made me loathe food. I spend more time reading labels on food items than I do eating and I'm still fat. So, I try to avoid the kitchen as much as I can.
If I didn't have to eat to survive, I'd skip it entirely.

I enjoy cooking, but I cook very few things...my specialty is fried chicken, which always turns out well. A lot of chicken turns out dry, but my mother-in-law taught me that soaking chicken in salt water before cooking it makes it moist, and it worked really well.
The most complicated dish I've ever made was hand-made ravioli. I'd like to make that again...bake some, toast some, deep-fry the rest.
