Speaking of that...guess what? I ordered one...and it's arriving Tuesday!! I ordered an Electric Toro...rated by Consumer Reports as one of the top choices. I have such a mess of leaves right now.

What type do you own, Gary? Gas? electric? With vacuum?

Thanks!

I bought this Toro around 1987 or '88. Works great, though I completely forgot it can vacuum also. 8o
Your new blower should be a little smaller and easier to handle but just as powerful... :banger:

Well, all has been cleared. Got the go-ahead.

Tomorrow morning I will give two week notice when I get in to work.

Thanks, Jodi! :)

I did tender resignation first thing this morning and well...I have to admit I got a little misty when the HR lady took both of my hands as we talked. I will miss her. She is truly a fantastic human being. Always there with smile and real concern for the welfare of the employees, she really did facilitate my entry into the company after so many years of being employed at the previous place...

What I did find a little surprising was the reaction of a few of the people I will not miss. Sort of like a huge fan sucked the chill out of the air instantaneously. I don't really know what the hell that is about except that it was cordial and I do want to leave this job behind on a positive note...

Two weeks to go. I am so looking forward that I know I will have to remind myself to focus on the task at hand and stay sensitive to the requirements of the job...and... myself too...

Rambling again... :dizzy:

Nice!

I use a cord like this one.

It is 12/3 or 12 guage, three prong, indoor- outdoor and will handle the power needs of your blower nicely... :bouncy:

Thanks, Gary! Well, I ended up going to Lowes and got 100 ft for $28. It's Med Heavy Duty I guess. They asked me how many amps and then helped me pick out the right one.

How many amps does your have?

My blower pulls 12 amps also, though I bet yours gets more out of the power with better overall design. :bouncy:

100 foot cable ought to cover a pretty good sized yard! Have you used the blower yet?

I just opened the box but that's as much I've done so far!

BTW...how's work? Still dealing with those few meanies at your soon-to-become 'former' employer?

Nice! If I needed a blower, that would be the one for me... I never really liked yardwork before. Now
I kind of look forward to getting out there on a nice day. :bouncy:

All's cool there. Kind of funny actually when they said something along the lines of they are sorry to see me go...
To myself I was saying "ya, sure, I believe you....NOT!" But I really don't understand their adolescent behavior to begin with.
Maybe they were jealous of me, but I do not know why they would have been. There was no reason for such petty behavior.
I can't see how I was a threat to them. Anyway, that B.S. has ended and it seems that the next 10 days ought to go by smoothly.
As for other ongoing problems...I will not let them bother me as much now. I am outta there in what should be 10 pretty smooth days. :bouncy:

Oh you'll be surprised, Gary! Some people feel threatened even in cases where you've done absolutely NOTHING to them! It's just their 'loser' nature what motivates them to act that way. You can't do anything about it either. Only thing you can do is ignore them I guess. And if people can't be genuinely happy for you, then it's not really worth having them around in the first place.

Anyway, that B.S. has ended and it seems that the next 10 days ought to go by smoothly.

That is good! I suppose some have shown their true colors, huh? In any case...those leftover days will go by quick! :bouncy:

Big honcho #2 is in town and went to work on me today.... He wants to know why I submitted my resignation and would
like me to consider rescinding that piece of paper... Been thinking all night. Can't sleep. I do know that it is his job to identify
problems within the company. His job... not mine...The inadequacies are apparent enough.

Inside, I can't find....loyalty. I just don't feel it anymore.

His job, not mine.

Six days. :)

Sleep...
