Yanz sends word that the PS2 and Xbox versions of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon are available for $20 via EBGames and GameStop. Not sure if this is an actual price drop or sale yet, as most retailers are showing it at $40. Best Buy has it for $20 as well, but it's marked as a sale.

As most of you already know Best Buy had an awesome promotion this week. With the purchase of a Xbox 360 HD DVD drive you would also recieve Heroes Season 1 for free (a $99 value!). Yes, great deal, but was that not enough for you?

In this same ad there was another HD DVD deal which allowed you to pick two free HD DVD movies with the purchase of any HD DVD player. Originally Best Buy intended this deal to only apply to Toshiba set top boxes, but due to poor word choice they have chosen to honor the promotion for the Xbox 360 HD DVD player due to being overwhelmed with complaints.

Now with the purchase of the Xbox 360 HD DVD Player you recieve:

Hot Fuzz and Hustle & Flow were obtained at the Digital Life convention (free) while 300 and A Scanner Darkly were also free but part of the HD-DVD promotion (and movies I really wanted in DVD, but good thing I waited). King Kong was bundled with the HD-DVD player. Transformers was purchased separately.




Freedom 1 and 2 are both anime episodes and were also obtained at the Digital Life convention...

GAMEFLY'S YEAR-END USED GAME SALE...

To be honest, we're more fans of game trading services than buying used from a retailer (yeah, we're looking at you, Gamestop) but if you've going to buy used, you can't really beat GameFly's ongoing end-of-year sale. For the next week or so, you can get used games from the popular online gaming rental service at a steep discount with free shipping. Keep in mind, their used prices were already better than Gamestop's and these come with a case and manual (the luxury!). So if your more thoughtful family members thought to drop some cold, hard cash under the tree this year in lieu of lame gift cards, pick yourself up some treats.

In the post holiday dust settling, a lot of the stores are trying to get rid of there overstock by having some great sales and today its Circuit City's turn. They have a number of titles(40) across all systems on sale for a paltry $8.96 each and an additional 30 titles at $16.96. Here are some of the highlights:

I subscribe (thru e-mail) to a local for sale (cheap) list, and there is someone advertising their used PS2 games. I do not have a PS2, nor plan to buy one in the near future, but seeing that I'm sure others have one here, I thought that I'd list the e-mail in case someone was interested in them. I have no idea if these games suck (play-wise) or if it's even a good price, but like I said, I thought I'd list the e-mail anyway.
