Been trying to play through the Metroid Prime Trilogy (eShop version), and I have been streaming it on Twitch (as TStodden mentioned :P ). I haven't felt the best over the past few weeks so I haven't made as much progress as I had hoped to (still in the first Metroid Prime).

I did get the Jackbox Party Pack on Steam recently, looking forward to playing that (mostly Fibbage and Drawful) with some people in the near future.

Congratulations on acquiring a New 3DS XL, TStodden! I wanted to upgrade
myself, but I'll wait a bit longer. If you've owned a 3DS before, have yo-
u transferred all of your data and information to the new system at
all? Just curious about it since people have been complaining ab-
out the problems that occur when using this procedure depen-
ding on the technique used and of you own downloaded ga-
mes on your system. I currently only have 3 downloaded
games on mine (3D Classics - Excite bike, Kid Icarus a-
nd Zelda 4 Swords Anniversary Edition) and with all
of the progress I've made at the Wii Plaza as well
as the game saves, I wouldn't want any of this
to get corrupted or not able to transfer ove-
r to the new system. If I do get a New 3DS
XL, I know I'll get a larger micro memor-
y stick (16 or 32GB) just in case... an-
d I do own a 0 size screwdriver alre-
ady, so that part isn't a problem f-
or me. What do you think of yo-
ur New 3DS, TStodden and ca-
n you compare it to your pr-
evious DS experience if y-
ou've had any? I'm also
eyeing a Wii U since
it's the reasonabl-
e gaming syste-
m for me at
the mom-
ent sin-
ce I
do ne-
ed s syste-
m that doesn't
play games whene-
ver a hacker rips their
servers. Nor do I need a s-
ystem that relies only on a se-
erver to play certain games. I just
want a game system, not a multimedia
box since I won't utilize those features of s-
aid console. I will be back in an hour... or two.

(to complete this post... I have to run)

Good luck with your PC TStodden. Unrelated, but one of my brothers
who play Warcraft a lot was met with a screen indicating that he
needed more visual memory after attempting to get to the n-
ewest content. Even after adjusting the settings both for
the PC and Warcraft to the most basic for running the
software, the message returned and he was not all-
owed to access the latest content. Soon after, a-
nother message appear stating that he also n-
eeded more RAM, though he had more tha-
n enough on his PC. After this message
appeared, he couldn't even get into
Warcraft. Blizzard informed him
that he may need a new PC a-
nd that his was outdated w-
hen compared to the mo-
st basic of specs to ru-
n the software, so h-
e's getting a new
one. I too hav-
e been trac-

rd's Tw-

hough it's b-
een a while for
me, so I'll check it
out later today. Good
luck with your progress in
Metroid Prime Trilogy, Pelord!
I was searching through my old ga-
mes today while cleaning and came a-
cross my Gamecube and Metroid's 1 and 2
and got nostalgic for a moment. I plan to see
if the Gamecube that I own with the monitor is st-
ill functional and if I can try out Metroid Prime and if
I still have my game save for it. I'm sorry to hear that you
aren't feeling so great, Pelord. I've been trying to get over a b-
it of a cough as of late. It's not as bad as last week, but whatever
is prompting the cough is still in my system. I'm going to work on gett-
ing it out this week thanks to some changes in my eating and physical con-
ditioning not to mention lifestyle adjustments now that my ankle is much better.

Been playing Crawl like I often do, but in addition to that I've been into Crypt of the Necrodancer lately. It's a really fun game, like a roguelike set to a beat. It's early access, which I usually steer WELL clear of, but this game has enough content to basically be a full release, but they're still adding more to it anyway. The bosses are really unique and fun too, like a conga boss where you have to skip every 8th beat, and a chess board boss where all the pieces move like normal chess pieces do. The music is great as well. Really fun game.

I played some Hand of Fate, and I really want to like that game -- and I did, a lot, at first -- but by the end it gets really unbalanced unfortunately. The choose-your-own-adventure style and the narrator are great, and the combat, while not stellar, is mostly good enough to hold up, but by the late bosses the curses are so biased against you that it gets frustrating. And as you beat bosses, they start showing up as normal enemies in later levels, so you end up facing multiple bosses right out of the gate later on. It unfortunately takes a lot away from the game. I hope there's a balance patch or something, because there's a really great game in there somewhere (and the endless mode is pretty good if you're into high score runs), but it just stops being fun by the last few levels.

Crawl sounds very interesting! Is it a Kickstarter
project? If this is the unfinished version, I co-
uld imagine what will be included as the g-
ame is finalized (though more bosses wo-
uld be what comes to mind initially sin-
ce it seems almost complete as is ba-
sed on your description of what's a-
lready available at the moment).
It's definitely a different spin o-
n the roguelike titles that yo-
u mentioned in the past fro-
m what I remember. I wo-
nder if Hand of Fate ha-
d play-testers that pr-
ogressed to the poi-
nt that you have

use bosses b-

ace multipler vers-
ions of them is brutal
without some serious lev-
eling up, stat modification or
A.I. adjustment to lessen their a-
ggression when attacking. Have you c-
hecked to see if there is an item or functi-
on that could aid you in progressing beyond th-
at point where you are in Hand of Fate at all, Nakor?

Crawl isn't a kickstarter, it's a free game developed by people who just want to keep it going. In fact, it's changed hands so many times that the devs refuse to monetize it, because they feel it would be impossible to fairly split any earnings amongst all the people who had contributed to it in a major way. As such, it will remain free forever.

Crypt of the Necrodancer (which I think you may have mixed up with Crawl?) wasn't, I think, a kickstarter project, though it did (and does) offer early access. You're right, it feels very complete. They are going to add a fourth zone in addition to the more bosses, however. It's one of the rare examples out there of early access being done right.

Hand of Fate... not sure on the beta testing. I'm definitely not alone in having issues with the Hand of Fate endgame. It's a very common complaint. Not only are there very few cards that really help to deal with the endgame, the game applies curses that make things harder on top of that (including one of the levels wherein every four steps you take you're given another curse, which means if you try to spend time powering up you end up even more screwed over). It's not unwinnable, but it's very frustrating, you have to rely a lot on luck to stand a chance, and it's just not a fun sort of challenge.

Goodness! Crawl has an interesting tale concerning its existence!
That would make a good movie in my opinion. I wonder if a-
nyone ever considered this. Many apologies for the misu-
nderstanding. Was COTN really one of the only early
access games that was done right? I would've tho-
ught that with such a funding approach to ga-
ming established, the margin for error wo-
uld have been slim... but I guess not, h-
uh? I'm sorry to hear that Hand of Fa-
te is so mercilessly unfair toward
the end. I wonder though if th-
e difficulty is intentional or
whether it hasn't been pr-
operly tested in the la-
ter stages toward t-
he end of the ga-
me, because
no fun can

I-
t is p-
ossible for
a game to be d-
ifficult and still be
enjoyably fun. The Dar-
k Soul franchise has proven
this, so has the Ninja Gaiden se-
ries (both NES 8 bit and original Xbox).

Off the consoles and onto the handheld... started up Majora's Mask on the 3DS today. Much like the OoT 3D revamp was, this one's looking just as great!

That's great, Roemello! What do you think
of the improvements made to simplify
gameplay issue of the original suc-
h as time adjustment option a-
nd the character listings? I
have never played Majo-
ra's Mask, so when I
do get it, this wi-
ll be my first
experien-
ce, ju-
st
like
with O-
carina of T-
ime (which I've
also played for the
first time only on the 3-
DS... shame, right?). I'd also
like to get Ultimate Monster Hun-
ter 4 and Xenoblade Chronicles for the
3DS as well, but first, I need to get the New
3DS. For now though, I'm going to invest in more
Nintendo gaming points so that I can purchase Mewtwo
for Super Smash Bros 3DS. He's available for the world now.

It's ironic that you mentioned this, because my brother
who is an Elder Scrolls fan as of Morrowind and is
becoming a PC gamer, has recently learned
of this collection and became intereste-
d it, though I think he'll probably g-
et Tamriel Unlimited (ESO) firs-
t. The Anthology is a nicely
bundled collection from
what I've seen. Righ-
t now, I'm playin-

for the m-

Finally got something new myself and started up The Witcher 3 on PS4. Combat's a bit clunky, but the game looks amazing. RPG elements are very familiar and akin to Elder Scrolls and Two Worlds... kind of a hybrid with much better storytelling

Congratulations on acquiring Witcher 3, Roemello!
I figured you'd be able to appreciate it once y-
ou've had the opportunity to play it. Whil-
e the combat may not be as smooth a-
s DMC's, it does have in interestin-
g mechanic where different e-
nemies require unique stra-
tegies to eliminate pro-
perly. The world is s-
aid to look amazi-
ng and quite t-
he size. Ha-

Nope! Never even heard of the Witcher before seeing trailers for Witcher 3 for quite a while. So far, it doesn't seem to matter and there have been flashbacks to catch those up who're uninitiated to the series such as I. I'm playing it on hard mode, too... even though my first time, I had read doing so is more immersive and forces you to strategize your battles instead of just hack & slashing your way through. Holding quite true so far and it is more enjoyable and rewarding.

Yes, I've read about those flashback moments which
takes place during the barber segments from m-
y understanding. I knew there was a strate-
gic element to fighting creatures, but I
didn't know there was a difficulty s-
etting and how it affected the s-
trategy gameplay-wise. Hav-

ling so far or cau-

think the Dragon Dogma
