I made a post about MY views...but I won't add more to this discussion because I can just see this thread turning into an ugly battle I am not interested in being a part of.

I've left this thread open so that everyone could state their views about PALIN and hope that it'll stay that way.
Sure you are entitled to you opinion on someone, but like anyone else, Palin at least deserves some defense on things she's accused of.

I posted what I know of the facts and presented them here for you to review. You can take it or not, your call. I'm not going to shove them down your throat. Besides, Others might like to read what I had to say.

Before calling something fact however, one needs cite specific sources... otherwise the whole argument is opinion (ie these "fact sites"... cite 'em). Although really, unless you're at the sidelines for every single event in the campaign and know the two candidates and their VP's personally enough to know for fact all their history, then ya can't really call it fact. The media is the media... mainstream or otherwise. All ya can do is take from all sources available what ya can and sort it all out for what you believe. Of course there's gonna be two sides to every story, but who's to say which is right where both sides always have their own agenda... a completely unbiased report is really hard to come by.

And as for the rally inciting... not hard to find proof of that, there's news video kickin around. And yeah, I'm aware of MSNBC's one of the majors in the supposed political bias dept., but it's hard to dispute what's right there on video.. can't question what's been recorded spoken...

I couldn't give a care in the world for either side in this whole thing.... wouldn't defend either one of 'em and don't like either one of 'em, but from what I've seen, McCain/Palin seem to campaign efforts to discredit the opposing side more than addressing the issues that need be addressed and focus on what's really important... being the state of this country and how to fix it... not just the short-sighted view of winning the election by whatever means necessary.

Exactly my point Roem. You can't judge a book by it's cover. Get Both sides of the story! I COULD go on and on and post stories about Obama and/or Biden from Conservative sites. But that wouldn't be fair to Obama or his supporters now would it? If I read up on something about Obama, you know I'm going to go to Factcheck or Snopes on him as well. Yes I happen to support McCain and Palin...I feel Obama is wrong for the country, just as Ingrid feels Palin is wrong. But Lest we forget...Palin is not running for president! I could see her stating these things against McCain, If I were her I'd be more concerned about McCain then Palin.

Example:
The whole thing about the librarian being fired is covered at Factcheck.org. Factcheck is unbiased and defends both Obama and McCain "mudslings". If I hear something on MSNBC or any other MSM site, I'm going to check factcheck and Snopes for the correct answers.

I countered what Ingrid posted about Palin with "facts" I've obtained through Snopes and Factcheck.org. I trust those two sites to tell me the truth. Am I trying to change her opinion of Palin? No! I AM, however, giving other members "Alternative information" on Palin. About the only thing I'd "trust" MSNBC on is MAYBE the weather report. Certainly not political news. As a Longtime Online Debater, I was also giving Ingrid the benefit of what I've learned of online debates. Kevin has seen me in action, as has Jasper and Nolanbuc.

I personally think it's not right to make a thread in a non-political forum dissing one candidate without the benefit of a defense. It's my nature! Frong seems to agree with me on Palin, as does Kevin. Yet I'm the only one who seems to counter allegations put forth against Palin. I personally think Obama was stupid in Picking Biden as his running mate. he should have gone with Hillary, that would have virtually guaranteed him the election.

For the record Roem, Obama hasn't exactly clarified what his plans are on many issues. I'm not gonna sit here and sling mud at you or Ingrid for your Feelings on the candidates. I haven't in the past, and I'm not about to start now.
