LOL @ rowdy kitties!

I think introduction of catnip toys would most likely result in complete and utter destruction of all that is still recognizable in your apartment!

Good camera!

I have catnip, btw. It came with the scratching thing that they don't care to scratch. Maybe I should actually try using the catnip to attract them to the stratching thing like it says on the label, assuming it doesn't cause the possible result you just mentioned.

Kittens in action... excellent footage, Frong!
A better commentator you are then I, for

Is this a normal dish for you or did you

Gah!

Anyway, cats will always find a way to get where you don't want them. Pile stuff up on it and they will sit on the stuff. A small cheap plastic water gun is a very handy NO training tool. My Sparky will run, "meow-meow-me-ehhhhhh" away if you even reach for it. He knows what it's for.

Yeah, I've seen those work well. Actually, for some cats (depending on their tolerance) just a mister is more than enough to dissuade them. ;)

My mom said she knows one lady who used a spray bottle to try and train her cat not to do certain things, but it actually had the reverse effect of causing the cat to get used to water. Now it jumps in the bathtub with her. :looney: :lolhard:

And no, that's not the first time I've had hiyashi wakame. It's just the first time I've had it with a digital camera on hand. :p

As for them getting up on countertops, I already know Birdy gets up there. I can't stop her from doing it anymore, since she has too high of vertical leap. That's why I cleared most of the crap off my countertop instead, to keep her from having more things to knock off. Even the lamp is velcro'd down now.

Anyway, yet more video. :p

Ah, yes. Shoelaces. The natural sworn enemy to all kittehs. Along with anything else that moves, stays still, is furry, isn't furry, is existant, etc. :p

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww How cuuuuuute! I love how they paw at each other under the pillow!
They are so darn adorable! :vibes:

Are they sharing the same litterbox? Do they eat a lot? What brand are you feeding them?

Do they tend to wake you up in the middle of the night?

I have a regular litterbox as well as a lasagna pan that serves as a backup litterbox in case they both decide to use it at the same time. This was the vet's idea, and it's a good one.

Colby eats a normal amount, I guess, but Birdy is a pig. She doesn't even chew her food; she just inhales it. :chew: Neither of them appears to be overweight, though, according to their last weigh-in a week ago. They're both growing at a normal kitten speed, though Birdy is still noticeably bigger, being a month older and all. At the moment, I'm feeding them the Purina Pro Plan kitten food that the vet gave me for free. It's got a good protein-to-fat ratio compared to a lot of the other foods I looked at, and it was free anyway. :p

As for them waking me up in the middle of the night, I don't let them - I close my bedroom door completely, plus I sleep like a brick. They can claw at the door all they want; it won't wake me up. :sleepy2: I'm actually planning on putting a folding door in the open doorway that leads to both my bedroom and bathroom, so I can leave those two doors open the rest of the time. The bathroom in particular could really stand to get some airflow during the day. :\

So anyway, have you guys gotten sick of being bombarded with kittah videos yet? :looney:

What kind of water dish did you get them? I remember you saying that you had to go get them a new one...or something related to that.

Well, I went today and got a $50 Drinkwell running cat fountain from Petsmart, only to get it home and find that the knob that controls the water flow was missing. I should have known better than to buy any product that looked like it'd been opened once already for whatever reason. :o I'm also not sure it would have been worth it, anyway, since the manual said it required regular monthly cleaning and maintenance. Meh. :\ I'll return it tomorrow cause of the missing part and get a regular tank-based water dispenser bowl for them instead. It only costs like 13 bucks, and I can still give them filtered water using the filter on my sink. I did get an automatic food dispenser, too, though. Now I don't have to keep coming back to my apartment every evening to feed them if I have other things I need to go to after work, like class or bowling league.

If you can find one, I'd recommend a PetMate Freshflow water fountain. I bought mine for under $30 CDN. The filters last quite long and I only need to clean it every couple of months. It's been the answer to my cat's UTI problems. He loves it!
