I agree that Gothic... err... Gosick... Is worth continuing, but I disagree in your comparison to Scooby Doo... I find that it's very much in line with the style of the manner in which Sir Arther Doyle portrays Sherlock Holmes. In fact, there's many similarities between Victorique and Holmes, though this is merely based on Episode 1. Either way, definitely continuing.

Kimi Ni Todoke is... continuing in it's capacity to annoy the hell out of me in full due to sheer and utter inability to MOVE THE FARKING STORYLINE AHEAD!!!!!!! >_<

Will still continue to watch it though... >.>

And yes, Kore wa Zombie is for the lulz and pie and thusly deserves continuation.

Oh yes, Gothic/Gosick/Goshikku/graahstupidname is definitely written in the style of Sherlock Holmes (right down to the pipe). I only meant that it looks like it will have the running theme of some ghost story coming up and then Victorique proving that there were no ghosts/whatever involved at all. That one aspect was the only comparison I meant, not that it is on a WHOLE like Scooby Doo. (Also, I haven't seen/read much Sherlock Holmes to be honest, and what I have was a rather long time ago lol.)

Ah, but Holmes himself solved many a ghost story as well. The Hound of the Baskervilles being one of the more famous of them.

I just hate comparing something that may turn out to be quite good to something that was undoubtedly quite bad. :p

Likely not gonna bother with Gothschqrrbrbirlbelick. Don't generally care for mystery shows. Zombie, on the other hand, appears after just one episode to have the potential for massive win. Here's hoping it gets loonier with each episode. :nod:

You are truly missing out by not watching Gosick actually, but to each their own I guess. Personally, Gosick has much more appeal and interest to me than Zombie.

ROFL, the first part of ep 2 with the fried eggs bento reminded me of the coffee-making-engine bit in Girl Genius.

Soooooo... After watching for more than one episode, here is Tanis' current feelings on the series' he's following;

Gosick: (Ep. 4) Still enjoying immensely. My suspicions around the 'Ghost Ship' arc proved mostly correct. The only suspicions I had that didn't prove true were ones that they never really explained. Will continue.

Haiyoru! Nyaruani: (Ep. 7) Not really an anime per se, given that the ending theme is longer than some of the episodal content. :p Humourous and completely random, which is probably why I'm still paying attention to it. :p

Kimi Ni Todoke: (Ep. 3) I like this series, really I do. But at the same time, I skipped through this last episode because I couldn't stand the complete lack of... anything, really. I understand that they're trying to push the shyness of the two, but they're pushing it too far. Some advancement in the near future, or at least some comedy relief, will be required for me to continue this.

Kore Wa Zombie: (Ep. 4) Zombie lulz and (square-root of) pi. Nothing more need be said about this.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka: (Ep. 4) Looking good so far. The end of Ep. 3 nearly ended it for me though. ;_ ;

Onii-Chan no Koto something-something: (Ep. 4) Uuummm... Not quite what I was expecting the series to be like. Then again, I did throw it in the list of 'To Watch' for the sake of adding something, so I'm not sure quite what I was expecting anyways. Humourous enough to continue, I suppose. Though, I wonder how much I'm continuing it due to lack of anything better. >.>

Trust me, I remember the Girl Genius coffee machine scene. I laughed really hard at that. :lol:

Man, I've really fallen behind on my anime this season, though. I randomly noticed a message that Nexon had drastically reduced the leveling curve in Maplestory and added some new classes, so tried it again out of boredom, nostalgia, and the vague desire to see how much easier it was. Big fookin' mistake. Now the damned game has been eating my brain against for about the last month, which has brought my anime watching almost completely to a halt and even caused me to nearly fall behind on my homework. Why do I never learn? :duh:

It is because you are not Otaku enough.

Life and other distractions should NEVER manage to get in the way of the Anime. The key to that is to watch episodes as soon as they come out. That way, you're only tied to Anime for maybe 20-60 minutes a day, depending on release schedules. The rest of the time is free for you to have at.

Personally, I do most of my anime-ing in the morning as I'm eating breakfast and having my coffee. By the time I'm done with food and drink, the episode is over.

Midterm week had me too busy to keep up too lol. Spent most of the spare time I had studying for the calculus exam Friday. Caught up this weekend though, and also watched the first couple eps of Magica Madoka.

And yeah... really hoping KnT won't be ultra-drawn-out. Of course, it will be. And I'm probably masochistic enough to watch it through anyway lol.

Good News: Hayate no Gotoku is getting a 3rd season (sometime after the summer movie -- not necessarily right after though)

Bad News: TokyoPop is closing its N.A. publishing division, and any manga series that they have been working on will not be completed.

Going through their list, looks like it will affect two series' that I'm currently following; Maid-Same and Fate/Stay Night.

FAWWWWWWWWWWWK.

But no kidding they're going under. It looks like they went out and bought up publishing rights for anything and everything. Including a lot of crap... :\

Moar Hayate FTW. :D As for TokyoPop, I only read scanlations anyway, so that's irrelevant to me. Also, quality over quantity, people. Seriously. :rolleyes:

Fate/Stay Night
I'd be shocked if someone didn't get their hands on that licence.

On the other hand, Maid-sama, not quite as likely to get sold.

Oh, Maid-Sama is more popular than you give it credit for.

And I dislike scanlations. Mostly because they tend to be crap quality, either in actual translation or just in terms of resolution quality, but also because I do actually try to support the industry. I watch fansubs because 99% of the time series' never make it over here, but also because it piques my interest in series' as well. Can't recall how many times I've watched a fansubbed series, only to have to buy the manga, and often the DVDs as well.
