...to the Smoky Mountains. I've been to Florida, and I've been to Virginia, but I've never been anywhere in between. This should be interesting. I'm leaving tomorrow with my botany class. I'ma learn me yet more plants! Whee. You know you've been focusing on botany too much when you walk down the street, see a random tree, and think "liquidambar styraciflua!"

We're staying in a cabin, which is fine by me, since I'm not particularly fond of sleeping on the ground. It should be nice. I made sure my camera was charged, so I should have lots of pictures. We have a field quiz that covers the identification of 20 plants out of a pool of 46 that we have to know, plus a 10-minute oral presentation. Wish me luck....

The trip was a little crazy. I've never hiked that much in my life before. My feet are still recovering. ^_^() But the scenery was pretty, and I do have some pictures. I'll try to get around to posting a few this weekend. Life's been a bit hectic lately.

Oh, and I got a perfect score on the identification quiz. W00t.
