Pix Mission: Stone Zoo

Post by Roemello »

Possibly my last big photo shoot mission of the season, went to a little zoo a few towns away in Stone Zoo! A lot smaller than the last one I went to, but a nice little one with some interesting inhabitants.... a portion of which follow. Loads more at Galleria.

 If the world's about to come to an end, I'll think about it at that point  It can be quite a bit more tiring a task with how I go. My camera gear weighs in at around 25lbs, so lugging that around in blazing temps can weigh on ya. Worth it to me though as I love the results I can get. Just gotta be fast on lens switching where necessary. Such I did quite often on this trip to the zoo.

I like the yawning pictures myself. Shows off the rows of teeth that some of those animals have.

It does make the jaguar look like it's throwing up though. haha

Yeah, the yawning shots I kinda pride myself on as they're such random occurances, to be at the right spot at the right time and fast enough to pull off the shot decent is a nice lil set of challenge. Then to pull it off with 3 different animals no less  That along with having to shoot through fences/cages and those dirty plastic view shields :p

And Soloist.... it's safe to say unless I come into millions miraculously I'll never reach that level  That lens in the pix you posted goes for $28,999 :uhoh:

ROFL Jaguars have a hilariously long tongue compared to cougars (the cougar yawn looks more like a typical housecat's). I wonder why that is.
