Drunken Coffee Jello Squares
I haven't actually tried this recipe (yet) but I thought I'd share anyway, since I know we have some serious coffee lovers here.

Re: Drunken Coffee Jello Squares
Not too big on the "drunken" portion of it, but the coffee jello premise sounds interesting! I'm sure coffeehound will be all over it
Re: Drunken Coffee Jello Squares
Someone in the comments there said they tried it without the liquor and it worked out fine that way too.

Re: Drunken Coffee Jello Squares
LOL Coffee jello. I kinda wonder why Jello themselves hadn't come up with this yet, minus the booze, obviously.
Honestly, why even bother adding the alkeehol? Way to ruin perfectly good coffee jello.
Re: Drunken Coffee Jello Squares
I hate Jello. =/
Re: Drunken Coffee Jello Squares
TBH I don't really like gelatin either. Yet I'm pondering trying this particular variation...

The question is whether he likes booze in his coffee or not. You gonna try making these, dude? If you do, you'll have to let us know how they turn out.

Ganache? On a jello square? Man, that's a dichotomy between fancy and everyman food.

Re: Drunken Coffee Jello Squares
I think chocolate certainly goes with coffee and lends itself to this recipe very well. The squares are more rubbery than jello. I think it could be taken a little far if one were to decorate the petit four like confections with really teeny swirls or writing or something....Frong wrote:Ganache? On a jello square?
