Yeah, I saw some link to this in a sidebar the other day but just rolled my eyes and ignored it. I'm sure the vast majority of people who use it will moronically attempt to just eat a few of the things and then do nothing else to alter their existing lifestyles, which will result in a total failure to lose weight. You know, like the people who get a diet soda with a giant burger and think they'll lose weight.
Key to weight loss is exercise... simple as that. Good diet helps, too, but that doesn't mean ya have to cut out everything ya enjoy. Exercise and no overindulgence and the weight will go... and stay gone. Unless being one of those rarities with extreme slow metabolism... or genetically stuck with it. Also can never expect it to happen overnight. Pounds drop faster than mass, so if looking to lose weight, ya have to want to change your lifestyle and like how you're living enough to keep doing it without thinking of it in terms of an end result, but a lifelong commitment to doing what it takes to look and feel your best.

Yeah, ain't that the truth? I managed to get from 230 lbs four or five years ago down to about 200 where I am now by cutting the junk out of my diet, and I've stayed there by keeping my diet decent. I still can't seem to lose any additional weight, though, due almost entirely to the fact that I'm lazy and never exercise. If I really wanted to lose the rest of my fat, I'd get off my lazy arse and pick up martial arts again or something. The problem is that I'm a geek and all of my hobbies involve sitting in front of a screen.
