Crazy work story

I had to go to pick some people up at what I think is the worst bar in town. (I'm sorry if this offends anyone,it's not my intention to)
It's the only gay bar in town.I had to go inside and get the 2 women I dropped off since they didn't answer their phone when I called multiple times so I wouldn't have to go in.
I get in and instantly, guys are looking at me,staring. I am not against what they do,I feel it's their life and it doesn't affect my life in any way so why should I judge anyone. The only thing I don't like is when they approach me and start hitting on me or touching me,even after I tell them I am not that way, that is where I draw the line. So I am in there, looking for them and I finally see them through all the people in there. I start noticing guys getting closer to me and staring me down so I put my arm around the girl and told her to go with it so I am don't get bothered. She did and she started hugging on me,which worked out good, they backed off. So as I am standing there waiting on them to pay their tab, someone comes up from behind and puts their arms around me,I freak and turn around getting ready to go off and it turns out,it was a woman I knew for 10 years who moved away 7 years ago to Iowa. I had no idea she was coming to town and I was shocked to see her.I knew she was Lesbian and didn't have a problem with it,we have talked some through face book last month and she seemed to be doing well. I knew her before she decided she liked women more then men and almost left my ex for her when my ex was pregnant with my son. We have a lot in common and we used to hang out a lot but nothing ever became of it,I had a child on the way and I didn't want to leave my family behind.(looking back, damn I should of done it since I got screwed over 5 years later) It took a lot not to move away with her when she did leave.I was very attracted to her and she knew it without us even talking about it.
I know it's not really that crazy of a story but for me it kind of was since I didn't expect to see her there when I went in.It really threw me off and I could barely speak to her I was so shocked, but after I dropped off the people I went for at their hotel,we sent messages back and forth through FB for a few hours. Me and the 2 women I picked up were talking about it and they were saying she looked very nice and we should go back and get her so we could be together since I am single, they offered to pay for the ride back to the bar to do it,but I turned them down.I wasn't going to go back there when I knew her g/f was there and attempt to get her when she has started a life in Iowa and has adopted 2 children with the woman she is with. I was flattered they made the offer though.

Last night wasn't a very exciting night,it's not really been to crazy lately in the cab.I do have a really good one to share but it's a little to "dirty" to be sharing on a public forum....

We call those "professional stories" (laughs)!
I know what you mean in terms of homos-
exual guys keeping their distance. I am
not homophobic and though I don't a-
gree with the lifestyle, as long as
they don't attempt to flirt with
me, I really don't have a pro-
blem with them. It was ir-
onic that you met an o-
ld friend in there and
that your escape pl-
an worked out w-
ell. Sometimes
we wonder h-
ow our live-
s would b-
e if diff-
erent
dec-
isions
were ma-
de, and in s-
ome cases, it m-
ay turn out much b-
etter... but then agai-
n, it could be far worse t-
oo. I know if I got everything
that I wanted in life, I'd have a t-
roubled upbringing, so I'm glad that
I've missed certain experiences and ga-
ined others when I was prepared for them.
