National Novel Writing Month: 30 days, 50000 words, 1 story.
Have a story you've always wanted to write and never could get to? Now's the time to do it. It's hard to write that much if you're writing whenever you feel like it; inevitably you won't find the time to do so, or other things will take priority. A 30-day deadline, on the other hand, is the perfect way to force yourself to stop stressing over little errors, stop editing before you're done, and just get the darn thing on paper.
Any sort of novel is okay, including fanfic, or even adult stuff if that's your thing. Sky's the limit, the only requirement is that it be a novel (defined here as a lengthy work of fiction).
It's mildly crazy, but it's also great fun. If any of you are up to the challenge this year, you can add me here from the NaNo site after registering.
Cheers!
