My dog thinks he is human

So my little rat terrier thinks he is more human then dog.I have a few photos below. He sits up a little better now,I just haven't been able to catch a picture of him doing it.
I swear this dog is has the brain of a 5 year old.He has to sleep with me.(My wife has a picture of him sleeping with me on the couch,I won't include that one lol)
He is a little over 4 years old now and has been one of the best dogs I have owned.My wife wasn't so fond of him at first but now she would be lost without him around.My step daughter was scared of him at first and wanted him in his crate one day I was watching her before we lived together.I grabbed the dog and had her come over to pet him.After that,she was fine. He is just like one of the kids now.
When we moved in the new house,I expected he'd have an accident on the floor and not go outside.So far he has not had 1 accident and has been known to hold it in 8-10 hours when I work and they are in bed. Can't ask for a better dog.
I'm not sure why he always wants to lay in the sun for.Since we moved in he has a routine.In the morning he is by the back door laying in the sun,in the afternoon,he wants in the sun porch and lays in the sun.Weirdo!
