Anyone given it a try? Essentially it shows you a totally random Google Street View and you have to figure out where you are. You can look around and move around just like you were on the actual street view, and then when you're ready you drop a pin on the map in the corner (which you can zoom and drag around as well) to make your guess. You score more points if you guess closer to the actual location.
This is my first and only go at it so far:

Thanks for posting this, Nakor!
It sounds rather interestin-
g. I'll see if I can try it
out upon my retur-
ning since I'll b-
e leaving in
a little w-

I've tried it out for a few minutes and was
only able to find one location (near
Russia) for around 1400 points.
The other location could h-
ave been Arkansas or e-
ven Kansas, but I di-
dn't want to gue-
ss. It was a lo-
ng straight
road wit-
h few
sign-
s.
(I'll try it again today at some point...)
T-
hat's
an impr-
essive score
you have, Nako-
r! How long were y-
ou playing? I spend mo-
re than 20 minutes on the
second one, but the first one
was much easier since a sign had
words in Russian. Perhaps next time.

I did spend a bit of time on each one, it's true. I was kind of multitasking and not really paying attention to a clock though, so I'm not sure what my total time spent was. I had one of those long straight roads myself, that was my North Dakota guess that turned out to be in Idaho. All I saw was one long road and some farms, and made a guess based on the type of terrain I was seeing.

That was a good guess, Nakor! Sorry for taking so
long to respond, but I kept missing this pos-
t. Anyway, I was tempted to guess the
last time I've played, but I though-
t that I'd be way off. If I get e-
nough information to mak-
e an educated guess, I
would, but those lo-
ng deserted roa-
ds aren't eas-
y. Signs h-
elp con-
sider-
abl-
y.
(though some signs are difficult to see or are blurred...)
I
will
try thi-
s again th-
is weekend!!
