My favourite has always been the 1989 version by Band Aid II. It was a typical SAW production, but it has some really great talent .. Cliff Richard, Luke Goss, Chris Rea, Kylie Minogue ...

I'll stick with the original, thankyouverymuch.
I have the original 12 inch EP of it, and it is awesome with the 80s artists like Spandau Ballet,Duran Duran, Ultravox (including the co-writer/producer MIDGE URE), Bananarama, U2 and Duran Duran. There were some Americans there too, Kool and the Gang & Jody Watley.
The 1989 one is pretty good too, because of the SAW connection with Kylie, Bananarama and others.
Does anyone know if the 12 inch mix of the original is available either on mp3 or CD? That's the version that has the members of Band Aid giving their greetings. I've been looking forever for it. I have the original single version on mp3 and CD, but can't find the 12 inch mix that was mixed by Trevor Horn. If anyone knows where i can find it, let me know.

Well, I found the extended version of "Do They Know It's Christmas". I've been dlownloading Christmas songs today and typed in "DTKIC" and I found the long version, it's called, "Do They Know It's Christmas (Feed the World)". I'm so excited right now. This is my Holy Grail for Christmas songs.

84 version. :thumb:

I have the 45 somewhere at my parents house. The flipside is an interview with all the people that appeared in the song.

There's the "None of them"-option missing...since you get to hear this song every Christmas season everywhere in a frequency which might remind of North-Korean interrogation tactics, I really do wonder why everyone hates Modern Talking. :D
