Hi, where/how do I go to change to a lighter color style?

Near the top of any page, click on "User Control Panel". Once you're there click on the "Board Preferences" tab. This should put you already on the "Edit global settings" section, so just look for the "My Board Style" box, and select a theme, then Submit, and you're done.
