No Bond More Special
(my first poem to the love of my life)
Throughout the years I've never known
The incredible bond that has been grown
A meeting fated and written in time
Two minds, two hearts, two souls entwined
From innocent friends with mischievous fun
To the closest of soulmates... pure love begun
Where once walked tall, content but unhappy
I now stand fulfilled with my true love beside me
Through hard times and pain to threaten a fall
Our unique bond and love have conquered it all
Soulmates there are and love is quite common
The uniqueness of us however is one known by none
Forevever and always you shall hold my heart
My beautiful Queen, my life's love never part
The day will come when we join and are one
An embrace to rival that of heavens to sun
And in that moment, there could be none so true
As the heartfelt emotional whisper.... I love you.
A Final Farewell
(I wrote this one for a close friend after we graduated college and she moved to Lebanon)
Life is a pain, it makes us crazy
the hardships, the sorrow, doesn't cease to amaze me
But sometimes it can bring a happiness so great
It's as if it had to happen through fate
Our friendship brings this like no other
It can never be duplicated by another
Our meeting was destined, I think you'd agree
There'll never be another you and me
So with great sadness I say farewell
To my other half who from my side has fell
Until that beautiful day you return
Being without you is a thing I must learn
So good luck to you, my other half
Can't wait for the day I can once again
see you smile and make you laugh
Lost
Playing a role that is not me
Playing what everyone expects to see
Traveling through life behind a mask
Who am I really? No one's cared to ask
Behind the facad of laughter and glee
There's a lonely soul, I let no one see
A character, a life, I've never lived
Shelters the truth I can never give
I wish this mask I could throw away
And be my true self on a given day
But until I find that which I search for
Behind this mask I will stay...forever more...
Beauty Unseen...
In a corner of darkness, sits alone
With no one and nothing to call his own
Never knowing that feeling felt, so many
He sits, he waits, to see if there’s any
One to be close to, one to know
One to bring a smile, and to face, a glow
But forces unknown will not let it be
It seems there is no one for him to see
Despite the inside with taste of honey
Despite the outside, cute and funny
Nothing will come to set him free
Of the curse that will bring no one to see
So alone in the corner, sits and waits
While inner strength, and emotion, continue to break
The Strange Creature
It destroys all that it touches
Tries to control that which was not meant to be controlled
By nature it is compassionate
By greed and power it is the most evil of beings
It believes without thought
It is naive beyond belief
If only it would wake from it’s mental slumber
Paradise would there be
Unbelievable
It wandered from the corner
slowly, without fear
small in comparison but larger than
any other seen through the eye
thrown into a pool of waste
it survives for twenty until finally it dies
no other has ever shown such dedication and will
unlimited respect in me it did instill
Hands of Black
In the season of death they are unknown
spiritually locked in darkness black
keeping warm, keeping style is but material
symbolic of a struggle won but lost
when the hands of black are raised to the sky
It tells that none of the order shall fall or give in
ring of gold giving light to a new day
hands of black forever unknown
Dedication to the Greatest of Mythical Creatures
They fly through the air at the fastest of pace
No animal of flight could compare to it's grace
Mightier than the dinosaurs, tranquil as a deer
Able to strike amazement, able to strike fear
Scales hard as titanium, breath of flame
Have brought this great creature historic fame
So noble and wise, should be easy to see
Why this magnificent creature is so honored by me
