The movie that started it all and undoubtably the scariest and best of them all. Centering around four teenagers in the town of Springwood, all having nightmares involving an evil being with a knived claw. They don't think much of it until the nightmares begin taking their lives one by one.

The first victim is Tina Grey. She was sliced down from chest to abdomen and dragged across the walls and ceilings of her parent's room and dropped to the floor.

Victim number two was Tina's boyfriend, Rod Lane. Placed in jail as a suspect for the murder of Tina, he makes the fatal mistake of falling asleep. He's then strangled and hanged by his bedsheet as he sleeps.

The third victim and probably one of the most infamous deaths in the Nightmare series is Glen Lantz. He's sucked into his bed and spit out in a sea of blood across the ceiling.

The last victim is Nancy's mother Marge... burned to death as Freddy lept onto her in her bed.

Finally... Freddy is defeated when Nancy denies Freddy's existance and supresses her fear.
