A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master

This is one of my favorites... catchy intro tune (which is also in my Flash intro)... great soundtrack all around really and the deaths are all pretty creative. I figure about a year's passed since Freddy was defeated and buried in part three. Kristin Parker begins having nightmares again... the fear of course brings power to Freddy who is resurrected in a nightmare of Kincaid's. Freddy goes on the hunt again to finish off the last three Elm Street children... and start fresh with some new blood...

A new spin introduced in this chapter is the powers of the dead all manifesting in one girl... Alice... helping to give her the ability to defeat Freddy once and for all...

First victim here is Roland Kincaid... who witnesses the resurrection of Freddy. And it's the last thing he witnesses as Freddy surrounds him in the junkyard and gives him a good stab up through his torso. "One down... two to go..."
Next up on Freddy's hit list is Joey Crusel. Sleeping soundly on his waterbed, it starts to wave up uncontrollably. He looks under the covers to find a hot nude girl under the water. She disappears and up pops Freddy. "How's this for a wet dream?" He utters as he brings Joey under the water and slays him.

Victim #3 is the last of the Elm Street children... Kristin Parker. After pulling Alice into her dream, Freddy tosses Kristin into the boiler. Kristin releases her power to Alice before she dies and Alice wakes up. Her and her brother Rick run to Kristin's house only to find her burning to death in her room.

Victim #4 is Sheila Kopecky. In the middle of taking of test, Alice draws Sheila into her dream. Freddy asks her if she wants to suck face and proceeds to suck her dry as a raisin. Sheila wakes up and dies of what seemed to be a fatal asthma attack.

Victim #5 is Alice's brother, Rick Johnson. Freddy renders himself invisible and fights Rick hand to hand. Rick comes to his senses and beats Freddy down, knocking his glove off. Of course this proves to be a big mistake as Freddy's glove flies top speed straight into Rick's torso, killing him.

Victim #6 is Debbie Stevens. This is definitely one of the more creative deaths. While Debbie's doing bench presses, Freddy appears and pushes the weight down into Debbie so hard, it splits Debbie's arms open at the elbows. He then sends her into his own little "Roach Motel" where he makes Debbie transform into a cockroach, saying "You can check in, but you can't check out", Freddy crushes the Roach Motel with Debbie inside it.

This all leads us to the final battle between Alice and Freddy. Freddy right now is at his strongest with all the souls he's collected. Alice defeats Freddy by remembering the riddle of the Dream Master. "Now I lay me down to sleep, the master of dreams my soul I'll keep. In the reflection by my side, evil will see itself and it shall die." Alice shows Freddy his reflection in a mirror and all the souls of those he's trapped proceed to rip him apart until finally they're able fly out... free at last with Freddy's power extinguished. But for how long...
