Now this one is kinda weird as far as cotinuity goes. There's no explanation given in this one as to how Freddy came back... what happened to Alice or her son Jacob. But anyway, at some point years later from part 5, all the kids of Springwood have been killed off... except one. Freddy uses him to find his daughter and her back to him.

Probably the best thing about this movie is the insight into Freddy's past. The 3D in theaters was absolutely awesome too. The replication to DVD wasn't bad, but not nearly as good.

Victim #1 in this one is Carlos. First Freddy assumes the form of Carlos' mother and sticks a giant q-tip through his head. He then slices his ear off and gives him an ultrasensitive demonic hearing aid. After a few torturous drops of needles, Freddy breaks out a chalkboard and rubs it with his claw until Carlos' head explodes.

Victim #2 is Spencer. As a gamer, I found this one pretty funky. Freddy puts Spencer in a video game and plays him to his death. In reality, he ends up falling down the stairs. Nothing spectacular, but the gaming sequence prior to it was good.

Victim #3 is "John Doe." They never actually give his name... he's just the last surviving teen of Springwood. As he's parachuting down, Freddy cuts the chute and drops him onto a bed of spikes.

Freddy is finally killed when his daughter Katherine takes Freddy out of the dreamworld and into reality. She puts on the glove, stabs Freddy, stuffs a pipe bomb in his stomach and blows him up. Freddy's dead. The town of Springwood erases the memory of him for good so he'll never return. At least for a while anyway...
