Just when you thought Freddy was dead for good. All the souls he captured set free in part 4... all his power extinguished. Alice may have the power to control her dreams... but her rememberance of Krueger passes down to her unborn child. Freddy uses that fear to return through the dreams of the child and reap revenge on Alice.

Some good death scenes and lines in this one... I still remember well my father taking me to see this when it first came out in theaters. I was only about 12 in '89 when it was released and already an avid Nightmare fan. I think I saw part 4 in theaters as well. The previous 3 I saw when they came out on video. Anyway, on with the death count!

First death of the resurrected Freddy is Alice's boyfriend, Dan Jordan. It starts out with Freddy joining him in his truck and taking him for a wild ride, but that's only the beginning. Dan crashes through the windshield and has to find a new means for transportation. He takes a motorcycle which quickly turns into a Freddy cycle. Freddy crashes the bike and Dan wakes up only to crash into a big rig.

Victim #2 is Greta Gibson. She falls asleep at a social dinner... Freddy proceeds to stuff her like a turkey. She wakes up seemingly coughing on food and collapses dead at the table.

Victim #3 is Mark Gray. He reminded me a lot of Will from part 3... thinking he could do away with Freddy with his dream power. Of course, no one can really take Freddy out in the dreamworld, so he got his. Freddy turned him into paper and shredded him into a million pieces.

Freddy is taken out this time when Jacob (Alice's unborn son) unleashes the souls of the three Freddy killed. This turned Freddy back to infant form where the spirit of his mother, Amanda Krueger, put him back inside of her and locked herself with Freddy inside of her away for good. Temporarily anyway...
